I've ordered one from Gamestop through the Barnes and Nobel online store as gamstop doesnt accept my Aussie credit card. Payment still pending in paypal so i spose they havnt processed my order yet?
It's costing me almost $110, so I hope it works better than the last one.

So...110 for the Wireless strat...or...110 for a subpar guitar with a subpar game? Good choice on the strat man!

The Les Paul is NOT a sub-par guitar, as much as I didnt like GH3, the guitar is awesome.

Les Paul:
1. Too Short.
2. Buttons are too..well, the way they are.
3. Too damn loud when you strum.
4. Umm..its an overrated Les Paul.
Strat:
1. Almost real size!
2. Two sets of buttons!
3. NO NOISE ON THE STRUM BAR! (BIG ONE!)
4. Effects switch
5. Bigger, better buttons
6. Full size wammy bar.
7. Better positionings of the system buttons.
8. Its a fender...comn!

I dont know what you want from me. I just like using the Les Paul.
And in all honesty, I havent come across a Strat yet that works perfectly. Its either strum bar problems or tilt sensor problems.

Got my new wireless strat on tuesday (toys r us had plenty, but no one else in town did) I've been playing on my LP exclusively and once I tried the strat again I really liked it. It worked very well, and was fun to play (EFFECTS!:)). I still have such a hard time keeping rhythm with the rebound noise of the fret buttons. Honestly I don't know how strat users can ***** about the noise the LP's strumbar makes and not even note this LOUD clicking. Sorry, it just throws me off rhythm, A LOT.
I will continue to use it so I can take advantage of solo buttons, but i still like my LP. I did notice that when I played a song with the LP after using the strat for a while, I was REALLY aware of the fact that the LP is a VIDEO GAME CONTROLLER, a.k.a. plastic toy. They both are, I guess, but some realism was achieved with the strat.

Sorry CM. I wasnt trying to pick on you. I just cant stand the LP lol. And guitar hero? Eck. 1 and 2 sure, they were done by the masters. But 3? Activision? Seriously!! Who trusts activision to make a decent game anymore. TH series anyone? Bah, thats a joke. But yeah, I digress. Sorry to kinda single you out there man. My apologies. And try one of the new strats (released jan-08 or later) Ive had my wired one since feb 08th. Play about 3-4 hours a day, just played it earlier, still works fine.

My Man Deez Nutz said on another thread just like this one that he just bought a wireless guitar, and his tilt sensor dont work.
I like the look of the Strat, and wouldnt mind adjusting to it, tbh the only thing I really DONT like is the Whammy bar, I just prefer the stumpier version better. But if I knew I was going to get a wireless strat with all working features I would def pick it up for sure.
And no need to apologize. Im not getting emotional over video game gee-tars. lol.

Yeah tilt sensor dosent work. I must say tho other than that I like it. The strummer feels a bit more stiff and springy but that might just be due to newness and the fact that i have beat the heck out of my wired strat.
I am a Strat guy through and through tho. I have played with every guitar made for these games since GH1 and I love the fret button feel and spacing better than any I have used.
I RMAd it this morning and funny enough they had an option already setup for the 360 Wireless guitar.

I haven't bought one myself (waiting for a Nyko Frontman), but I know the Strats are available at several EB Games here in Toronto.

BTW Just a heads up on the RMA for my wireless 360 strat. They would not allow me to do the express option. They told me standard box return only.

Picked up my Strat last night and played a couple of songs on it. At least all the buttons work...overdrive worked 1/2 times

Picked up mine from GameStop. They said they had them since Tuesday actually. I rocked two guitars for the first time on my PS3 last night, for about and hour. Thanks for finally getting these out!!

I checked a Circuit City, Best Buy, and Target last night. No luck. :( Might try again today in a different area of town with Gamestops and ToysRUs.

Yeah, I went to the Best Buy, Target, and Gamestop by my place here in San Antonio and they didn't have them in.
Was able to snag one at my local Toys R Us though. They had about four Ps3 guitars and two for the 360.
Feel wise it is in-line with the wired ones. My overdrive does seems a little bit better and my switches and buttons press and move smoother, but I've found that also varied from wired guitar to wired guitar.

$110 for guitar? you can get guitar hero 3 with a wireless guitar for that much. you must really want the strat
$110 australian dollars to get it shipped here. so like $100US.
And GH3 costs like $150US here.

The tilt sensor seems to be the weak point with these new wireless strats. I bought one Friday and the tilt sensor never activated once after multiple attempts, and I'm seeing lots of posts about others with the same problem. I'm returning mine to Gamestop today and hoping to find one at Circuit City or Best Buy (they haven't gotten their shipments in), because EA doesn't yet have the immediate shipment option available for the wireless 360 strats (they will only send you the box, then you send in the broken strat, then they send you a new one). Since the odds are pretty good that the tilt won't work on the replacement either, I am unwilling to wait three weeks to find out if I get lucky.
My strong advice to anyone buying a new one is to either a) buy two and hope that one of them works, then return the one that doesn't, or b) test the strat out as soon as you get home so you can turn around and race back to the store for an exchange. In my area (Boston) the strats were sold out at all the Gamestops within the first day they had them, so unless you are quick you may not be able to get an exchange.

I have a strat exclusively for Rock Band right now, but I'm getting an LP next for another bass/guitar, so I'll see which works better.

I also picked up a wireless strat today. Got it home, tried it out. The fret buttons were louder than my original (that did eventually die, not bad equipment, just bad operator trying to tweak it) and the tilt sensor was DOA. So, I took it back to Gamestop. The one I go to only got two guitars, so they gratefully traded me the other one. Got it home and the Overdrive didn't work and the downstrum was busted. 0 for 2. Thankfully, I still have my LP and X-plorer, but I really like the Strat solo buttons. RMA, here I come and if that doesn't work, let's hope the MadCatz periphs are better. :)
