Who can't get over the fact that Tom Sawyer is a cover?

I'm so damn scared that Geddy is going to get his voice butchered. So damn scared.

I know what you mean.. Tom Sawyer is one of the few cover songs on RB... I hope it doesn't get butchered..

I thought it was hilarious because I laughed out loud.

I love Rush and I thought it was hilarious.

But yeah, with all those master tracks, it would have been nice if Tom Sawyer wasn't a cover. Hopefully we'll see some Rush DLC!

I'm scared for it too. Cross your fingers for it not to be a Killing in the Name repeat.

ya that really sucks that Tom Sawyer is a cover, but what is gonna happen with the songs that are gonna have 2 different covers one for GH III and one for Rock band for the songs that are in both like Paranoid and Mississippi Queen, that will be strange

lol i'm a rush fanboy and even i smiled a bit. LIGHTEN UP

though at the rush concert when these two broads, who obviously had no idea who rush were, were laughign at geddy i slapped them to hell and taught them to respect the masters of the universe

I've listened to it in the videos and the voice doesn't sound half bad, I actually think it is pretty good. Also if you really don't like it, have someone sing it, and turn the actual voice way down.

I really believe that we either have Tom Sawyer as a cover or no Tom Sawyer at all. Something tells me that there's no usable master of Tom Sawyer, but they really wanted the song in the game. Looking at all the masters on the game, there's gotta be issues beyond rights that prevent a master from being used - could be technical issues or the master could just be plain missing.

I'll take a Tom Sawyer cover over no Tom Sawyer, personally.

I'm almost positive it has been said a while back that the only reason they used covers is if masters were completely unobtainable in some way shape or form, either lost or too old.

Or if they couldn't get the rights to them for whatever reason, or if they were far too expensive.

Lets face it. Geddy Lee is not the best vocalist in the world. Ugh, the shrills of his voice make me cringe!

Maybe not, but he pulls double duty with bass, which is HELLA hard. Gotta give the man some respect, even if you don't like falsetto.

Geddy Lee is a great vocalist. He doesn't have the best voice, but he took that and made it his own, and I'll be damned if he isn't an awesome singer. What would Rush be without those pipes?

I concur! He is one hell of a bassist and never refuted that fact.
