GH3 Guitar compatible with Rock Band?

I was wondering if the Guitar thats included with the upcoming Guitar Hero 3 will be compatible with Rock Band?

I'd rather have the Rock Band Guitar. It has the solo buttons, which could make it funner and easier to score points. I read in some article that using them (the solo buttons) can sometimes give you a bonus in points. It also has the effects bar.

Plus IMO it looks cooler.

Plus I already have a crappy explorer.

I read somewhere that the Xbox360 GH2 Explorer Guitar would be compatible with Rock Band. But I have not seen any official comments about the GH3 Guitar working with Rock Band.

No, there has not. No one from Activision/RedOctane/Harmonix/EA/MTV/Neversoft has ever explicitly stated that the Les Paul will work in Rock Band or that the Strat will work in Guitar Hero III.

If anyone can locate official word, I'd love to see a link. Otherwise, nothing is confirmed at this point.
