Jimi Hendrix

I died very early in my life. It is said I made a deal with the devil at a crossroads to be the best guitarist ever and my soul was taken early, I was posioned by a jealous husband. People who have covered my songs include Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Elmore James, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and many, many more. Keith Richards once heard one of my recordings and asked what band that was, only to be told it was one person. There has never been a bluesman like me before, and there will never be one like me again. I was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame, long before Hendrix was. Oh, yeah, I was born in 1911, can you guess who I am?

The Initials to my BIRTH name are M.P.B.
Though known mostly as a bassist, I can also play the trumpet
I was born in Melbourne, Australia
The frontman of my band gave me my stage name in reference to my jumpy and capricious nature.

That would be Paul Di'Anno (Paul Andrews).

I was born on May 15, 1948. Coming from an art school background, I achieved notoriety first as a member of a glam rock band during the 70's. I have been involved in many capacties in the music industry including label owner, producer, and solo artist.

I am probably best known for my solo work, helping to spawn an entire genre of music. I am currently working on the soundtrack to an upcoming computer game being developed by a leader in the gaming industry.

Wow, I had to do a lot of detective work... I don't know the band myself.

It's Neil Fallon of Clutch. His sister is Mary Alice Fallon-Yeskey who is on the Food Network series "Ace of Cakes". Oooooo-kay. :p

Someone else can take the next shot at a question.

D'oh! I always get Satch and Vai confused, even though they aren't at at all similar. :D

Here's mine:
1. I was a New York native.
2. I popularized the buzzsaw technique.
3. My band was famous for wearing leather jackets and blue jeans.

I lived to be 94 years old.
Some people cite me as one of the most important figures who has played guitar.
I was born in South Spain.
In 1969, I outlined all of my goals as a guitarist.

Let's try this

My name is Don Vliet, but that's not the name I'm known by among rockers
I was a childhood friend of Frank Zappa's
On the cover of my masterpiece I am wearing a specimen of the album's title
