Thinking about maybe a possible mod for the future? If i can find out how the playstation accepts signals from thier controllers, aswell as find a casing that can hold the buttons aswell as the actual mic, maybe.

Why pay extra for the features of that mic when I already have a controller sitting around. That's just my $0.02.

Also, with the current setup, I can go out and buy pretty much whatever USB mic I want if I don't like the official Rock Band one for some reason.

meh I just like the Idea of having the navigation and selection buttons all on the mic rather than having to keep looking for my controller

Do you regularly lose your controller in the 3-5 minutes it takes to sing a song?

I seriously need to find a way to mount a controller holster or something to the mic stand. We're constantly looking around "Where did we put it now?"

I wouldn't have to bang my hand on the microphone to use percussions if this would implemented... and it's an easy design. Two buttons and a D-Pad. Not big, not in the way, yet effective...

im fine with how it is, but just for convineance sake. Hell people are paying 20-30 bucks for pieces of foam or pvc pipe for their drums, I think having a nice mic with a few buttons on it would be nice

That's fine.

After a few percussion-strong songs, my hand gets to hurting. But I found out if I just switch to the controller and press 'A' it's much simpler. It's like the select button on the Guitar. :D

I'd like one. I hate having to worry about the controller running out of charge, especially in the middle of an ESL.

Personally I would like to see a wireless mic before this. As long as the price stays reasonable anyway. Sick of the chords other then my drums since those NEVER get disconnected. LOL.:)

You people are either joking or hitting the mic much harder than you need to (or have ridiculously sensitive hands and need to get outside more).

Yes, a wireless mic.

Best idea ever (maybe not ever, but definitely in this thread).

I'd love a mic-based controller. Especially if it was wireless. Not that it's difficult, it's just so inefficient having to switch back and forth between mic and controller
