Now, for guitar and drums it's just playing the original track how it's supposed to be as usual, but for the mic accessory what you put out there is what you get..
So here's where I start thinking about how much production goes into the majority of songs vocals--sometimes even changing vastly between verses.. very few tracks would have the singer's voice "clean".
Perhaps it's a little ridiculous to think, but I'm wondering if itd be possible for them to replicate similar effects (according to the song) for the lead singer's vocals on the fly. Even if it was just reverb it'd probably go a long way to helping it sound as polished as the rest.
Or there's the other possibility that everything could have that live concert sound.. but I dunno how well that would sit with everyone.
Am I thinking too hard about this, or could cheap sounding vocals be a genuine concern?
