Printers on a Home Network

Is anyone here knowledgeable in networking? I wanna add a printer onto my current computer. Problem is it's in the other room on my parents' computer. I have a network set up, but when I try to add the printer through the network it won't show the printer connected to the other computer (the other computer is connected the internet wirelessly, if that makes a difference). When I try to add a printer from my parents' computer it shows all the printers on my computer. Any ideas?

So you have both computers connected to the same router/hub and have sharing turned on for that printer, right? I don't think I'm missing anything, but that's all I had to do to network my printer, and I'm not the best at that kind of stuff.

make sure everyone has file and print sharing on, make sure the printer computer is turned on, and the printer is turned on. Should find it then.
