So on Steam today i noticed a little tidbit about how you can pre-order the orange box and be able to play the beta for Team Fortress 2 on Monday...anyone thinking of doing this?
I know I'm going to get it when it comes out, but I'm not sure if i really want a hard-copy of the game...i don't have CDs for HL2 or any of my valve games other than the original Half-Life...

For steam... I'd rather not have hard copies. Digital is SO much easier in my opinion (I've got about 12 games on there at the moment).

I would do it, but it is just another game on a long list of games that I am holding off on buying because of Rock Band. There are so many great games coming out that end of this year and the beginning of next that I just don't have enough money for all of them, or the time for that matter.

I was gonna have that problem too, but i got a new better job that thankfully pays more, and the whole living at home thing works to my advantage too.
I've been waiting a long time for TF2...so I'm seriously considering it...I know I'm gonna get Orange Box anyway...but SKATE should be available to me sometime soon (I hope)...So I'm not really sure about the whole pre-order thing...

I much prefer having a hard copy of the game compared to digital distribution, same with music and movies. I feel ripped off if i don't actually own anything i can hold. Plus i dont have a credit card and my monthly download limit is 20GB.
