Gamertag recovery?

my friend lives quite close to me about 5-10 mins away and when rock band is released hes gonna be our drummer and he hasnt got a memory card im the only person in our band with a memory card so instead of him running over here for the memory card running back to his house and running back to my house could he just recover his account on my xbox (im guessing all you have to do is put in your gamertag,email and password) and then we play so he gets achievements and stuff too and then delete it off my xbox so he knows i cant go on it then whenever he comes round just recover his gamertag but what i want to know is would this affect his gamertag in ANY way because i dont wanna break his xbox live for the sake of one game

any help appreciated :D

i dont think it would do anything to his xbox live, i have done this a couple times with my friends

I dont really know. Do you have a hard drive, or one of those crappy 360's with memory cards?

I did that, and it messed up ALL of my saved games. It wouldn't let me access my own saved games. I had to start over on GH2, GH3, and Rock Band. and a couple of other games.

Recover Gamertag is really only for use in emergencies. I'd reccomend getting a Memory Unit(Card). I am going to eventually...

i have got a memory card and a normal 360 with hard drive

We do it all the time, we've had no problem's, it just take's forever.
