An unexpected take on Halo but don't expect Tom Brokaw hawking them as the Greatest Generation, he's got WW2 for that...

To Harvest or not to Harvest, that is the question;
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The pipes and bullets of outrageous Splicers,
Or to take arms against a horde of Big Daddies,
And by opposing, end them. To die, to sleep...

Hah I like that ad, pretty cool, an interesting take on Halo, a lot different than Halo ads in the past.

I have an idea for the next commercial:

*Old man walks in musuem*

Reporter: Can you tell us what it was like?

OM: We were fighting for a while, on the seventh day, we ran out of ammo, we had to scavage all we could form the remaining ammo.

Reporter: Then how did you kill all the enimies?

OM: Well thats until... we got mutha ******g Forge!

*All of a sudden a deep commercial voice comes on while a montage of The Moniter dropping tanks on flood and people blowing the brains out of the Covenant while glitching on top of a banshee firing lasers*

VO: FOUR PLAYER ONLINE CO-OP! MAP EDITOR! BRAND NEW WEAPONS LIKE THE BRIUTE SPIKERS AND THE FLAME THROWER!

Cuts back to old man...

OM: Interviews over bee-atch!

*Old Man sticks reporter in the head with a plasma grenade and jumps into the screen for an action shot.

VO: HALO'S BACK BABY!

I may not be a fan of the Halo franchise, but this commercial and the one with the kids in the cornfield ("do you ever think we'll meet them?") are seriously chilling. It's really rare that some form of video game cinematic or advertising will invoke some sort of emotional response from me, but this commerical was definitely one of the most powerful ones I've seen, and the event talked about never even occured. They just did that good a job with it.
