I picked The Decline by Nofx, T.V. Party by Black Flag, Salad Days by Minor Threat, and Chutes and Ladders by Gray Matter. I wish there was at least like two more songs that could be picked.

But I kinda went with what I thought would be fun to play as a BAND and not in a guitar hero-esq kinda way.

The Animals - We Gotta Get Outta This place

Judas Priest - Headin Out to the Highway

Uriah Heap - Easy Livin'

AC/DC - Rock And Roll Ain't Noise Pollution

Hey guys, i couldnt get the form to work on the front page, "can not enter data2"

Banned From The Roxy, CRASS
I Keep Forgetting (Every Time You Are Near), Michael McDonald
I'd Do Anything for Love (but I Won't Do That), Meat Loaf
Christmas Wrapping, The Waitresses

Tried to choose songs that would be fun to play guitar, bass, drums, and vocals to :).

The only song that I requested that I really feel is worth mentioning is Crazy Little Thing Called Love by Queen. If you listen to that song, it's got two really great guitar parts, some great singing, and a fun drum part. I can't listen to the song without thinking about how much fun it would be in GH. Here's hoping *crosses fingers*.

Edit: Oh hey, I requested Black Betty too. I had never heard of it before, but my girlfriend introduced me to it after noticing that its intro sounds a lot like that of Push Push Lady Lightning.

Lynyrd Skynyrd - Simple Man
Aerosmith - Back In The Saddle
Dokken - One
Foo Fighters - All My Life

Just picked four off the top of my head.

I threw in a couple ones that I doubt many people are sending in. Why send in requests for Megadeth, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, and Lynyrd Skynyrd when everyone else will be anyway?

Little Stereo - Teddybears
Easy Lover - Phil Collins
Californication - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Roll On - The Living End

Wish - Nine Inch Nails
K.I.N.G - Satyricon [Yeah, they've got better songs but this is probably their most accessible one. And it's god damn funky!]
Dead Eyes See No Future - Arch Enemy
No W - Ministry

I'd love to see some black metal in there, just to see the scene kiddies **** themselves after playing Panic! At the bingo or whatever tripe they listen to...

Last - Nine Inch Nails
Spirit Never Dies - Masterplan
Keine Lust - Rammstein
Jesus of Suburbia - Greenday

They're all new(ish) songs, nothing 70's or 80's, but I figure the games gonna have heaps of that anyway:D

It was really hard to choose the songs what I would submit because I had so many songs on my mind. But then I listened them carefully and thought what would be the most fun to play.

Kalmah - Withering Away
In Flames - Jotun (Goliaths Disarm Their David`s, were the other one I would have wanted)
Kiuas - Warrior Soul (Just awesome, will be absolutely hard ^^)
The Black Mages - Maybe Im a Lion (This song is just so friggin awesome)

Of course I would have wanted in some Dragonforce, Slayer, Arch Enemy, Children of Bodom, Stratovarius ETC.

PS: Oh no! I forgot The Transformers Movie Theme by White Lion! GODDAMMIT ^^ This needs to be the best movie theme ever xD

Haha! Some Black Mages would be awesome. I havn't heard Maybe I'm a Lion, but I reckon Those Who Fight Further (FFVII boss theme) would be awesome. Too synthy though. Ive got a fan made chart for it that I play and it's really good.

Check out a video of it here, it's sweet. http://youtube.com/watch?v=95cA8spUfSc

Ahavo Rabo Taco Salad - Alter Bridge (Mark Tremonti)

Munster Rag - Brad Paisley - First country musician to grace the cover of Guitar One "Eddie Van Halen on Cornbread". This man can play and it's an instrumental so you won't be turned away by the lyrics/singing, plus it's based around The Munsters T.V. theme song, just awesome.

The Hollow - A Perfect Circle

Far Behind - Candlebox

1:Jethro Tull - Almost anything from their live album. Quatrain or one of their instrumental fillers would be great. Cross-Eyed Mary as an alternative. Or, the first 20 minutes/side of Thick as a Brick. (evil grin - it's stupifyingly hard to actually play as the timing changes every other measure in some places)

2:Scopions! Almost anything from their Rockers and Ballads album.

3:Almost anything by Joe Stariani. You want guitar? This will shred your fingers as well as the guitar.

Amazingly enough, none of the Harmonix games to date have included any songs by these three artists.

4:Anything by Bob Marley. This is a vocal game as well, so songs like this that everyone knows are a must. Also very under-represented. Just load in "Legend" and pick a couple of songs you like best.

AND...
5: Include all of the old Frequency and Amplitude songs. They paid for the rights already, and most of them are very good selections.

So.. My four are..

Highway Robbery by The Dillinger Escape Plan.

F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X. by The Fall of Troy.

Go To Hell by GWAR.

I'm Charming by The Black Dahlia Murder.

I didn't even check and see if profanity was an issue, I'd hope not. Regardless, I think these would all be fun to play. Check 'em out, honestly. Lemme know what your opinion is.

Unfortunately rights/licences are very specific to how they can be used (plus they run out), so they would need to be relicenced again (unless Harmonix had incredible foresight when they drew up the contracts). Another reason why the GHII downloadable content cost surprised many people I'd say.

1) Black Dog -- Led Zeppelin
2) Some version of "Ghost Riders in the Sky." I like the Outlaws version, but there are a ton of good ones out there.

And a couple I later kind of had second thoughts about for various reasons:

3) All Along the Watchtower -- The Jimi Hendrix Experience
4) Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad? -- Derek & the Dominoes

I think there's going to be a lot of power trios playing this game. You know, either the guitarist or bassist singing.

I've been keeping up with this forum and the submit ur top 4 and its turning out just how i predicted alot of people are requesting alot of the same bands (which i dont have a problem cause it seems like a more developed form of the guitar hero 2 set list) i was hoping that alittle more diversity would come up i totally agree with Bob Marley so i hope some more people think outside the box and try and get some japanese rock, reggae and some bands that would meld well into the game but are just not being submited it would be a shame for this game to ship without one Linkin Park song

Ruiner - Nine Inch Nails
Schism - Tool
Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne
Wake Up - Rage Against the Machine

I was just listening to Ruiner as i read that. It'd be pretty cool. Also, I've played Johnny B Good, Schism and Wake Up on GH2 mod thanks to the fan made charts. They're all awesome songs to play.

"Act I: Chasing Suns" - The Sound of Animals Fighting

I really suggest that everyone listens to that last song. It would be so amazing in this game.

Well, my list was nowhere near serious, but would be awesome for a lot of people if they got in.

Hero by Nickelback (Not going to happen)
God Knows... by Aya Hirano (PEOPLE WILL BUY THIS! it the ultimate Anime anthem, easy. And extremely popular right now. Not to mention rocking like no other.)
Emerald Sword by Rhapsody (Go Global! Anyway, BOSS SONG, this...try not to break your controllers on this one!)
Dragostea Din Tei by O-Zone (...addictive...)

And why so much METAL being suggested? Might as well be Metal Band.

Haha nice. For my Rush request, I submitted "The Spirit of Radio." Although, right now my other choice for Rush is "Something for Nothing."

Not sure how great it would be for the game, but I'd love to do "The Trees" too... mainly because I want to sing about trees.

my 4 was...
Bullet With Butterfly Wings by The Smashing Pumpkins- Pretty catchy, popular song, the Pumpkins get overlooked too much.

Freedom by Rage Against the Machine- Tom Morello is badass

In Keeping Secrets of Silet Earth- Coheed & Cambria- Not the biggest coheed fan but this song is epic.

Stellar by Incubus ( I sent it in before I realized stellar was on GH1, so that probably wont happen, but an incubus song should definitely be included.)

PS: Oh no! I forgot The Transformers Movie Theme by White Lion! GODDAMMIT ^^ This needs to be the best movie theme ever xD

Agreed. I was crossing my fingers this would somehow make it into the Bonus songs for the Rocks the 80s Guitar Hero game. It really belongs there. There's nothing more 80s than Transformers and heavy metal combined.

Sorry...had to add some more. In the slim chance a Marilyn Manson song gets put in...it should be Sweet Dreams (one of a few number of his songs with a solo in), or 1996 (really fast...and I love it). And if we have an Evanescence song, it should be Whisper; it's got a solo, and the riff itself sounds pretty tricky...I also think Statesboro Blues by the Allman Brothers Band, and Jellybelly by the Smashing Pumpkins would be great. :D
