Guitar Controller Questions

I just want start with saying I did read the FAQs and did search but I still have a few questions.

The GH3 guitar for PS3 will work on rock band. So will Rock Band guitars will work on GH3 on PS3? Is this correct? (I just want to be sure.)

So if they do both work on the other, will they both be 100% functional (Hammer On/Offs, star power, will Finger Tap buttons work on GH3, etc?)

Im planning on getting GH3 for PS3 (1 guitar) then when Rock Band Comes out I am getting the bundle (as I read in the FAQs, comes with 1 guitar).

So I guess my main question is if I want everything to work as the game intended will I need to buy 4 guitars or can I get away with 2 guitars (1 GH3 PS3 and 1 Rock Band PS3)

I'm sure everything will work out right, except I don't think you will be able to use the finger tap buttons on RB's guitar on GH3 game.

Nobody knows about compatibility, save that the GH2 controllers for the 360 will work with both GH3 and Rock Band. Harmonix said they plan to support as many controllers as possible, so if the Les Paul isn't compatible with the launch discs, hopefully it'll work with a patch. The Rock Band guitar is so far only confirmed to work with Rock Band, and while they asked Activision if they want to make the controllers compatible with GH3, they didn't reply back. So the RB guitars may or may not work with GH3, we won't know until the game comes out. Again, they could patch in support for it, but due to Activision's...harsh stance on 3rd party controllers, I wouldn't count on it working with GH3, though I really hope it does.

However, someone from RO did confirm that the GH3 PS3 controllers WILL NOT work with GH2/80s.

im pretty sure you only need two
and i would think the gh3 guitar worked with rock band but im not sure

I dont want 4 but if i want to play 2 player on GH3 i need 2 that work and if i want a full band on Rock Band i need 2 that work.
