What kind of band was E.L.O.? I don't really know. I like em a lot but can't really classify them.

i would classify them as Prog Rock if anything.

Progressive Rock I suppose, but I wouldn't even classify them remotely with Pink Floyd.

Since I don't consider classic rock a real genre of music, I find ELO to be progressive rock. Probably symphonic prog rock to be exact.
