Hey guys,

I thought I'd post a couple of my photos of my "armored" pedal. My 7 yo daughter was bashing away at the foot pedal, and I assume once the pedal broke she kept banging, causing the base to crack. I had the pedal on carpet which probably didnt help as it allowed some flex.

Anyway, I love the new look as well as strength.

Cheers,

ozram

Forgot to mention I found them on ebay. I don't have the skills to make them

Looks good, I should get that off the Bay, BEFORE mine breaks...... :p

I did practically the same thing (although I only patched it near the crack as opposed to along the whold side). I think it cost me a whopping $2 between the screws, nuts and sheet metal.

I had a Rockband Party (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWHyekzLKB8) a few days before the pedal broke. So to be honest the damage was probably done at the party. Some guest were probably wearing shoes, and there were also a couple of first timers playing.

I was so impressed with the looks I bought a second set and shipped it to my brother in Australia for his RB. (he bought his RB off ebay from Hong Kong and paid a small fortune!)

Now I want to do something to "pretty up" my drums :-)

Also forgot to mention I had the metal hinge replaced with a strip of perspex. I have only had the pedal modified for a few days so its difficult to give a decent review.

So far it feels solid, and I think it looks killer. I dont imagine my 7yo breaking it again soon!

I fixed my snapped pedal by cutting up an old license plate and screwing it on. Sounds ghetto, but it works perfectly and it looks uniquely awesome.

Wow, that looks good. I wish the stock pedals came like that. I'm afraid to mod or reinforce mine.

Just buy it pre-built then. You can get them fairly cheap, and they're worth it.

Good idea. I was lucky that th eguy lives only 30mins from my house so I took it there and he did it for me :-)

But it looked really easy!

The guy sells them on ebay, the product is called Metal Pedal. At this stage he hasnt listed the side plates. Mine is his "prototype". I was lucky that he just happened to have made one and mine just happened to have cracked along th e base (which apparently isnt a common place for them to crack)

I also replaced the metal hinge - it should be indestructable now!

Looks pretty cool! I think my pedal is beyond repair though...the base is snapped in half and the pedal is too...the pedal was actually swinging around on the spring. It's pretty much dead.

I think I'm just going to have to buy an Omega...I think it's the only thing that can withstand my brother. He plays the drums like his foot is Godzilla and the pedal is Tokyo. :(

Thats funny! To be honest mine was pretty bad, but the side reinforcing saved me. I thought it was throw away.

If you want a really good pedal, you need to look into getting this:
http://www.rockbandpedal.net/

Costs about twice as much as most other custom models, but it's dynamite.

The Destroyer Pedal does look awesome - but there is no way I could have waited the 6 weeks to get it!!!

Imagine no Rockband for 4-6 weeks - Im getting cold sweats at the thought of it :-)
