UK/Europe Release Date

Hi there,

I tried searching, but couldn't find anything. Is there any news on a UK/Europe release date? I know it's being delayed :( , but it would be good to have an idea.

Sorry if this has been asked before.

BTW, I can't stress enough how much I'm looking forward to this game. On nights when non gamer friends have visited my house, there's nearly been fist fights over who gets to have a go on GH next. This game could well cause a riot!

The most we know about Europe is some time in 2008.

Hopefully Rock Band will stop the idea of fist fights since it aims to keep four people busy and happy at once!

Although there is no release date yet, I don't think it could possibly come out any later than Q1 of 2008, that isn't too bad, I think everyone wishes it would come out this holiday season, but since it isn't thats about as close as it gets.

All that is know is that it's some time in Q1 of 08 ie any time from Jan - March.. hopefully it will be end of Jan early Feb.. having to wait until March would be unbearable that would make it four months after the U.S can you image all the fun we would be missing as well as four months of DLC etc :(

Wouldn't you have 4 months worth of DLC waiting for you at release then? Or are you thinking they would purposely delay the DLC for overseas too? Seems to me they would want to give you as much DLC as possible out the door.

If only it were that simple. For starters, the US and UK use different video standards (http://www.ihffilm.com/videostandard.html). Even if they didn't though, the Xbox 360 has region locks (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/908223). This means that the XBox 360's in the US cannot play a game from the UK, and vice versa.

Basically, unless the UK folks also want to use Amazon to purchase a new (NTSC)TV, a new (US)Xbox 360 as well as the Rock Band game... they'll have to wait.

I thought March 8th was the confirmed date for Europe? Is that not the case then?


An EA insider has confirmed to RewiredMind.com that Rock Band will release in the UK and Europe for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PS2 on MARCH 6TH, 2008. No price has been confirmed as yet.

March 6 is the release date that most online game shops i have checked have had for about 3 weeks now, yes. Nothing official yet, though.
