Microphone Upgrade...

Go easy on me.... its my first post after all!

I was wondering if anyone has "upgraded" their mic? I currently have the one that came with my Karaoke Revolution years ago (as I didnt buy the RB bundle). Granted its for my PS2... but I would like to upgrade to the PS3 eventually... I assume as long as its USB it will be fine.

With that being said, are there many/any options for upgrading the mic?

Pretty much any USB mic will work with rockband, or so says the random tip screen when it pops up.

The only way I've upgraded is by buying a mic stand. I'm using the standard mic that comes with the special edition box.

i upgraded to the premium mic from rockband it was 50 bucks at bestbuy....it works alot better then the one they give with the bundle.

I busted my first mic swinging it about my head. Some wireing inside the microphone must have come loose. I just wired an audio socket onto the "box" at the end of the mic lead and used a normal mic. Works great.

ANy USB mic will do, nothing really to "upgrade" (unless they came out with a wireless mic). I was able to use my USB Logitec headset on the PS3 as a mic so I can play guitar and sing at the same time, that could be considered an upgrade! ;)

I figured any USB mic would be cool. Wasnt sure if there was one better than the other though.

And a mic stand is a must! I hate seeing pics of people sitting on the couch with a mic in their hand. That isnt the way to do it!!!!

I use a mic stand as well, picked up a few scarves to tie to it as well (leave me alone... I've been a die hard Aerosmith fan for almost 20 years!:o)

Careful, however... that won't work on the PS2. :eek:
