Or The Living End at sydney, at an outdoors festivle where the ground was covered in hay. It was crazy stuff.

What about a mosh where the floor is covered in Jello? I think that would be pretty hectic.

Believe this or not, but my most harsh mosh experience was at a Green Day concert. Pre-American Idiot of course! :D There were bodies a flyin and teeth a gnawing and spit a rainin!
And this one little short weird dude took his you know what and started rubbing against me. I threw him into the middle of the pit.

Metallica on the And Justice For All tour. Queensryche opened. When they did Sanitarium the entire floor of the arena turned into an enormous circling pit for the fast parts, then stopped dead while everyone sang the slow parts, then back into a pit again when the song sped back up.
Exodus might be a contender, it was an assigned seating show with no general admission, but when they started Toixc Waltz all the chairs were torn out of the floor and thrown all over the place to form a pit. A security guard waded in and tried to stop it and quickly vanished. Poor guy.

I have 2 both which occured at Warped Tour 2007 in dallas.
Coheed & Cambria: They opened up with "Welcome Home". As soon as they played the first notes the whole crowd rushed the stage and everyone fell down. then the front of the crowd pushed back and thos went on for the whole song. there were probablly about ten fights that security had to break up just in the 30 minutes that they were playing.
Chiodos: They had by far the largest crowd of the day. They crowd was pretty insane, especially in the breakdowns. In "There's no penguins in alaska" Craig Owens told the crowd that he wanted to see as many crowd surfers as possible and as soon as he said that everyone was trying to get up.
