Ever wanted your very own spartan armor so you could look like Master Chief? Apparently a few people do, and are willing to pay an arm and a leg for it.
The Listing:
"You are bidding on the best and most accurate Master Chief Costume on Ebay. This suit is my own personal suit that I am now giving up. The suit is so awesome, it has been featured on Spike TV, G4 TV, and in a Dell Commercial. This suit is FAMOUS!
Now it can be yours. The suit is made from a very hard Urethane Plastic. It isn't one of those cheaply casted vacuumformed suits. You could probably pound in a nail with your forearm if you wanted to. I'm 6"1' in the pictures, so you can figure out how well it might fit you from that.
Also included is an Assault Rifle Display. The reason I say display is because it's ONLY HALF OF A GUN - the other side is flat. See pictures for what I mean.
Included is:
The Best Halo Helmet in Creation. Perfectly accurate, and the right size. You can see perfectly out of the visor, and is very comfortable.
* Chest/Back Piece
* Shoulders
* Forarms
* Hand Plates
* Belt/Cod Piece/2 Belt Pouches
* Thighs
* Shins
* Ankles
* Toe Plates
* Boots
* Assault Rifle Display
You can have this suit in time for the halo launch! Wait until people see you walk in the door with this thing on! People will love you. Then, you can win all sorts of costume contests when Halloween comes around."

I think it looks really good, but I'm not willing to pay that much for it. Jeez, it's up to $4,025 USD at the moment. Can't wait to see what it actually goes to.

Why are hardcore gamers given a bad reputation? Cos some small majority of idiots buy this crap...

I didn't realize this was a Halo thing... When I saw the thread title I was like WTF? Spartans don't wear armor!

I'm not exactly sure whether that is completely awesome or severely sad.
Either way, it's entirely overpriced, but the guy's a genius for selling it, and getting over four grand for it as of late. Jeebus.:cool:

Every time that halo armor stuff goes up on ebay we always try to make my one friend buy it, because it would be hilarious, obviously it will never happen, who is going to spend thousands on that?
That cardboard one is so sweet though, I wish I had the time to make it, although I don't know if I would want to be seen wearing it ever.

My friends and I have had the idea of making Storm Trooper armor (way cooler, IMO) for when we all get married. Ideas have run from wearing them at the rehearsal, to the bachelor party, etc.
Just think of all the free drinks you could get in a bar with that! Just stand there with your hands on your belt, and wait for free alcohol. If somebody asks you a question you don't like, just tap the side of your helmet.
Oh, and it would still be in style long after MJOLNIR gets forgotten...

When a friend of mine got married, we smuggled about twenty lightsabers into the church. When he and his wife walked out of the church, we all stood in two lines, flanking the walkway. We handed him a Darth Vader saber and saber-saluted over them, forming an arch, and we all hummed the Imperial March. We got a great picture of it and I photoshopped it and added lightsaber effects to all the blades.
At the reception, a lightsaber battle broke out on the dancefloor. Somehow at the end of the battle I had to face the bride, so of course I was defeated... In melee combat... by a girl in a wedding dress...
When I got married (divorced now), it was pretty much the same group of guys and we did it again.
