Rock Band Coin Mod

Ok, so I saw the video on youtube about modding a drumset with the coin mod to increase the sensitivity. I don't have the same model as the one in the video, I have the DM model. I was wondering if it was possible to coin mod, or do a similar mod for my model of drums. I tried the coin mod and it failed miserabley. I don't know if there is another way to do it with the DM model. Could I get some ideas of how other people have modded their DM models?

DM? I'm not aware of any DM set. Are you sure you didn't mean QM?

The only three sets I've seen are QM, EL, and SL.

Oops...my mistake. I looked at the serial # quicley in poor lighting. It is a QM model. The Q looked like a D.
