I know they're not the most CURRENT band right now, but I'm still a huge fan and found out they're performing at Jimmy Kimmel's show on Oct. 5th! My cousin got our tickets at this 1iota dot com website. I like their new stuff a lot and can't wait to see them live again. MATCHBOX!!!

Hi All,
I’m Lindsay and I work with the agency promoting Matchbox Twenty’s newest release. Just wanted to let you know about the new album Exile on Mainstream! It has six new songs plus eleven past hits.
I recommend the MVI version because it has two discs. There’s a DVD that contains the full album, portable music files, videos and interactive features like wallpapers, ring tones, remix capabilities and buddy icons. Don’t worry, you still get a regular CD so you can listen in your car!
Check out the website for more information http://mvimusic.com/matchboxtwenty/ or just post a question and I will check up.
Thanks,
Lindsay

I'm just suprised they can still afford an agency to promote them, of course they have resorted to begging on a forum, so maybe they found them next to h&r block and the eye cllinic at walmart

the main reason to go to one of their shows is to see MuteMath; they put on an insane live show
wow, a MT rep came in here, signed up, and posted? how..odd? and really, leaving a message that sounds as generic as the next PR blurb...weak sauce.
and in all fairness, they do have a huge fanbase, have had quite a few award nominations, and Rob as a solo artist has won many awards. They've also not been around in the media because of Robs solo career. They didn't stop being popular, just took a break.
I will be going to the Charlotte show to see MuteMath though

i never realized they were popular outside of the mtv crowd, I remember that one song in junior high everyone was crazy over but that was it and it was more poppy than rock but whatever

They're definitely a mainstream band; admittedly so. Actually, thats the whole theme to their new album. They dipped into the non-MTV crowd a good bit because of the quality songwriting, which they can thank Rob Thomas for (as a solo artist he has been twice named Billboard Songwriter of the Year).

sorry I don't listen to what billboard tells me to, and I heard a song of his that was popular a few years back and it was not something worth artist of the year thats for sure. In fact they are in alot of one hit wonder lists. which is about how I remember their music sounding.
