I am not really good at guitar, but I enjoy it, heck this is easily the most addictive game I have ever played. So here is my point, since I am trying to move from medium to hard (I know), when I fail a song I go to practice it, sounds reasonable enough. Yet in practice there is no indication of overstrumming, no crowd meter (even if its practice you should be able to see how the crowd meter is being affected), and no breakdown after you practice so you might know what area is bringing you down. If I get over 80% in practice yet fail miserably onstage it is frustrating. And it isn't even that hard of a song thats holding me back - Hand that Feeds - aaaaarrrrggggghhhh!

I know exactly what you mean. I feel the same way too, like when I'm trying to practice on drums. I rarely ever go into practice mode just because of those reasons you stated in your post. It'd really help if there was an indication that you didn't break your note streak. The only thing the current practice mode lets you go on is that one inch space below the um... hit line to look for any red notes you missed to whiz by. :\

I love Rock Band, but all of the practice modes are seriously lacking (especially vocal). Hopefully they'll improve it in a patch.

i would like an option to go BACK to the song you were just playing. not having to quit, leave, go to single player, solo tour, select character, play gig, select difficulty, scroll down, find song, enter.... wait for loading... NOW PLAY!
just having another option from the practice menu that says "return to gig" would be real nice.
