Though I'd love to see a keyboard add on, I've come to the realization that you wouldn't be able to play with all of the other instruments and the keyboard on the 360 locally, since it only supports up to 4 controllers on one system. The PS3, on the other hand, supports up to 7 controllers (or so Sony claimed, haven't tried it myself), thus making you able to play with all 5 instruments. Though that'd make the screen a tad bit scrunched, I'd just love to play like that, but it'd be hard for 360 owners, unless they played online.

I think four instruments are enough, especially since the screen is so tight already. It's perfect how it is, and it would be too difficult to work out for the 360.

And would your keyboard have five buttons? Or would it just be a full keyboard?

I'm sure that somewhere, eventually down the line, somebody will make a game with a keyboard in it. This one is not it.

I think a keyboard game would be a great way to start learning piano, but it's too many controls for a casual game like Rock Band.

Rock Band drums are like 5 switches. A guitar is 6 switches combined with another switch. Voice is... well, voice. Easy to muddle through.

Now bring in a keyboard which is many more keys, which requires multiple chordings for both hands. The complexity is much much greater.

But yeah, picture a game like a typing tutor for the piano... Something for someone to develop someday, but not something I'd want in Rock Band.
