As far as I can tell, this list originated from a Gamefaqs post. It has been denied nor confirmed by any of the scorehero moderators (the ones who have actually played the full game.) If the Gamefaqs member (whose name I don't recall, but it included the word "fecal) really got this list from one of those moderators, it will probably be the final setlist. However, it certainly is fishy that She Builds Quick Machines is nowhere to be found, as that song was announced ages ago.

I think this song list is credible. The final encore is believable, and it falls in line with what ImaCarrot hinted at. However, I'm waiting for confirmation from someone else. The biggest reason I believe in this list is because the mods have refrained from denying it. They simpy delete all of the threads about it on scorehero. Methinks that they might be trying to avoid infringing upon their NDAs, but who knows?

Last time I checked, Before I Forget and Stricken didn't have face melting solos. The only way for them to be that high is for the chart to be littered with way too many three note chords and dumb chords changes.

Anyway, this list is probably fake. The final encore is not the same song as the final boss battle. According to that One is the final encore. Problem because One is 95% not going to be 8th tier and it sure as hell has had custom charts and a bunch of requests for it which the final encore was confirmed to have no charts made for it and rarely requested.

Cliffs of Dover is a nice add. I was wanting that back in GH2, looks like somebody agreed. Good to see SRV back from GH1 as well.

BUT (you saw this coming), where the EFF is Rush! What the Hell?! Rock Band has a Rush tune, why not GH3? That is so not cool. Unless thats gonna be the final encore or something, I'm gonna be pissed. *hopes for more DLC on Rush for Rock Band*

And I notice the lacking apperance of Led Zeppelin and Van Halen. *denounces GH3 from being Legendary at that very moment* I can see the lack of Halen since David Lee Roth is a douche, but Zeppelin, there was a loop hole they could of got a song, just like Van Halen back in GH2. They could of got Traveling Riverside Blues. A Robert Johnson cover. That was probably the only way to get a Zep tune on the game.

Levels 7 and 8 seem weak to me. I've never heard of most of those songs. I'm sure they are there because they are harder to play but how can some of those bands be considered legends??

We haven't played GH3 yet so we can't say that we don't like it or not. I'm not impressed with the set list because of AFI, Slipknot , Disturbed etc. People say that Rock Band is going with mainstream music, well take a look at Guitar Hero. Not to mention they also took songs like Welcome to the Jungle when GN'R has much better/ challenging songs to offer.

She Builds Quick Machines, Atreyu, Megadeth, Pantera etc... were never confirmed to be in the game. They were rumors, and could of been cut from the final build.

Other people from scorehero who are not moderators and haven't signed NDA's have agreed that this is very much the same setlist they played on the final build.

Not really, I don't much care for the setlist, when Rock Band has most of the artists I like that are on GH3 and allows me to play drums or sing on them.

Plus it has a few songs I actually hate, Rock Band only has one so far.

People here generally liked the music from GH 1 and 2. The music in GH3 is very similar to those games. Listen to the songs. Of course people aren't going to like every GH3 song. But to say they hate the entire list? Come on.

You and I both know damn well that there are at least a dozen or so songs that people would want from GH3 that they'd want in Rock Band.

I'm only jealous about a few songs... Cult Of Personality, Sonic Youth, Bulls on Parade, the Killers (but not "When You Were Young", maybe one from their superior first album).

But that's about it. Besides that, I like Rock Band's setlist much more.

Theres an Atreyu DLC song for Guitar Hero 2, perhaps they got confused and thought they were in GH3.

as far as MSI, i DEFINATELY hope they're in atleast 1 of the games; GH2 DLC, GH3 or preferably RB.

I'm way more excited about Rock Band's setlist, and really really happy about the plans MTV and Harmonix have for ongoing DLC. It's all a matter of musical taste, and what the game does for you. GHIII is more about kicking out awesome guitar tracks, and unfortunately for people with my musical tastes that means the emphasis is on hard rock and heavy metal. Rock Band seems to be more about the fun of playing music, especially with other people, as opposed to the challenge of completing difficult songs. This is exactly what I had been hoping for with Rock Band, because it opens up the GH style of play to a broader range of music, as I was never wild about most of the GH I and II songs in general.

To me it's more important to be playing songs that I enjoy, as opposed to playing songs that challenge me, while for my 8-year-old son it's all about the challenge, so he is more excited about GHIII. I'll still be buying both games the day they come out and I know I'll enjoy both for what each offers. IMO, this is the best of both worlds - in the end everybody gets what they want.
