Colin McRae, rally racer and star of the highly successful game DiRT, died today after he crashed his copter into his home with his five year old son inside. According to local authorities there were no survivors.

Linky of sadness (http://www.gametab.com/news/1039643/)

I personally was never a McRae fan or anything (though DiRT owned) but still this sucks for his family. Especially to lose his son. How awful it must feel to be with your son when he dies in an instant like this.

Oh my God, are you serious?:(

Never knew much about McRae, but I know he was very influential racer. My thoughts are with him, his son, and his family.

Racing and music are two of my most beloved things, losing McRae and Richard Burns in such a shot timespan is really terrible for the sport of Rally Car, and It's truely sad when the two greatest of the last 10 years have been taken away from us in about a year and a half

RIP

Oh my god.......I saw some footage of McRae on YouTube a while ago, and i think he was an absolute talent. Huge tragedy, and its not even on the news.

RIP Colin McRae

When rally used to be on ITV (I don't have Sky) I used to always watch it. I loved watching my two favourite drivers, McRae and Burns. Both of them, dead. It shows how short life is. But remember - they both lived their lives to the full, and are a brilliant example for ourselves, and I'm sure if they were alive they would want us to do that.
