Just a couple of thoughts I had that I think would be great features to add in a future update. These are based on the PS3 version which is what I use. Sorry of this has already been done, flame me if it makes you feel better.

Mic Compatibility: The PS3 already supports the use of Bluetooth headsets. I would love to see this feature incorporated into the game this way we can forget about mic stands and also have a extra USB port available to keep the controller charging. If not Bluetooth, it would also be nice to support USB headsets as a mic. Obviously we wouldn't need the headphone part, just the mic.

Better Song searching/sorting: I have downloaded all of the DLC that has been released so far and my song list is starting to get a little difficult to navigate. With upcoming full album DLC and other new songs each week I think it's going to get a lot worse very quickly. I would like to see something like collapsible categories or at a minimum a page down/up button for navigating the song list.

Music player: I don't know about anyone else but sometimes when we're taking a break we will go back to the title screen and listen to the songs. I think it would be cool to have some type of player to play songs just for listening and watch the characters preform them. Obviously not a high priority, just thought it would be a cool feature.

That's is for me, but I'd like to here your opinions of these ideas and any other ideas of your own. Who knows maybe someone at Harmonix will read this and get some of our ideas incorporated.

Music player is dumb. It's nice and all but HMX shouldn't be wasting time implementing this when they can be potentially working on something else. It's a videogame, not an ipod.

The sorting is a given...the mic comes along with voice chat/hopefully. The music player idea? How about when you take a break, the game goes into a preview/demo mode and just plays your songs all the way through randomly. I'd settle for that rather than listening to the Konks over and over and over and over........................

Gotta say I strongly STRONGLY disagree on this one.

It may not be an ipod, but music's music, and money's money. I've shelled out nearly $200 in downloadable content and it would be nice if I could get a little more mileage out of my money. I've downloaded many songs that I don't have available in any other format, unless I either wanted to repay to download them in mp3, buy a cd, or *gasp* limewire them.

It would be nice to be able to pop in rock band, set it on some sort of music play mode, and perhaps do housework or something.

Actually it wouldn't take much time... They already have the videos of the performances made. And adding a quick music player wouldn't take any time. I do take breaks and wish I could just isten to the music on the game.

I have a PS3 and use a USB headset mic and it works just fine. Makes playing and singing MUCH easier.

I'm not sure about the bluetooth head set because I don't have one but I do know that you can use a usb head set as a mic.I use it every now and then when I play guitar and sing the odd song.

BTW there is a thread at the top of this forum for these topics.

What kind of ******ed argument is that. Music is music and money is money? Thanks Captain Obvious. When you spent your $200, you knew full well what you could and could not do with those songs. Yes, I understand you want to get more for your money but that can apply to anything. Heck while we're at it, why not just ask that the real music videos (when applicable) are shown when the music player is playing it? Why not ask likenesses of the real-life band members when you are playing instead of random pre-made characters? Yes, we all want as much value for our money. But it doesn't make certain requests any more reasonable.

How do you figure it wouldn't take any time? The fact that they have the video performances have absolutely nothing to do with anything. They have to create the interface for this music player and they have to test it. That's enough time as it is. No, as a programmer, I don't see it being terribly difficult. But muting your TV and turning on another music player isn't really too much to ask for either. An alternative is to have music streamed to your console (or get the music from another source) and use the music player in that. It's very easy to do on the 360, at the very least.

I am by no means saying this is useless. I am saying it isn't worth it. Sure, it's worth it for you guys, because you aren't the ones having to do the work for it. But time can easily be better spent elsewhere.

I wish people would just take some time every now and then to remind themselves that this is just a videogame.

You're ideas a great!

Michura, you don't quite understand what he's trying to say. You go on iTunes and you buy the song. Don't you get to listen to it once it has been boughten? Can't you play it, leave your computer on and listen to it. Exactly what we are doing here, instead the song comes with a pack to be able to play on Rock Band. Immedietly, you would thinkt that this idea would come as a bad result. But they have everything done, I myself am a programmer, and already played the game. It seems very noticable the the functions are done. What functions do you need mostly, Play song, Pause? I mean he is not asking for a muilti-media player with 200 functions, also adding a streak bar. He just want's to be able to listen to the songs, since he actually bought them.

I always think it would be nice to have a "hyper speed" option for the practice mode. As im sore most will notice, after you have been playing expert for a while going back down to hard feels like the game is in slow motion. I would love to tackle some expert songs and practice them at say 120 percent speed to have that sort of edge when playing it normally in the game....

This^ is a MUST. I'm actually kind of surprised they haven't implemented a better solution. I can think of a implementation that would work: Have the blue button on the guitar and the blue button on the center part of the drums be a modifier. Simply make it so when the user holds that button down and scroll it no longer goes individually, song by song but rather by category. So if the sorting was by band the user could get to the F's in a lot fewer hits, and then let go of the blue and scroll individually to get to say "Foo Fighters." There are probably better implementation ideas (please do post them below) but something should be done to help fix this issue, cuz its a big one in my eyes.

Oh, and for the singer...just have the analog pad go individually and the joystick go a category at a time. Or use the blue modifier as well for consistency.(the reason said blue is because I think its the only button that all instruments have and isn't being used for anything in the song selection area (correct me if I'm wrong))

-Oh, and while I'm rambling, I think the "leader" should be the only one with control over going back. I originally thought that they should only let the leader control song selection, going ahead and back but that would be kinda annoying itself at times. I think everyone should have control over song selection and actually choosing to play that song, but only the "leader" should get to go back, newbie on the drums go back a lot. And I don't think it would be that overboard to be able to disable what a controller can do. I would disable drums in the song selection area, if I could. I'm not sure 100% the best way to make this fix happen but every time someone new comes to play, the first thing they do on drums its hit them all then it goes back and does all kinds of weird stuff.
