Hey All!
I have a new (to me) issue. The preview songs (for lack of a better description) on the main game screen skip. It sounds like a record with a scratch in it.
It starts when the game initially loads with Highway Star and continues to do this on every song except when you're actually playing in BWT or Solo Mode.
Apologies if this has been discussed before. Just point me to the right thread. Thanks!

I just started having the same issue. In addition, all my downloaded songs are locking up upon loading. It didn't start until I downloaded the new songs for last week. I am trying to find answers as well.

I had this problem as well. It has to do with the latest Rock Band update. When I download it, the game music "hiccups" and it won't load the DLC, freezing the system. I called Xbox Support and they had me key in a code (X-X-LB-RB-X-X) in the memory menu after hitting "Y" when you pick your hard drive. It "performs maintenance" on the hard drive, and then Rock Band will work so long as I don't download the update when it prompts me to. However, you can't connect to Xbox Live without the update, so I'm stuck playing offline until I figure this out.

Hey guys, welcome to the forums!!
Sorry to hear that you are having issues.
Blake-- I really don't want to do the system maintenace. There was some really good content that came with the RB patch, and I don't want to lose that.
I have had the patch installed on my xBox for a couple of weeks (can't remember how long). However, the "hiccup-ing" is new.
There are a number of people that have the same DLC issue as the two of you. If you read through the posts on this forum, you should come across a couple of threads that address it.
Let me know if you have any other ideas!!

This may be annoying, but I can't find any other threads with the same problem, so I'm bumping this.

Hey guys!
My 8 year old was rather quick to point out that it's only when the "additional content" was loading. I feel old.... :)
So, it just might be something that we'll learn to live with. It doesn't affect gameplay, just annoying.

Except my game won't work because it won't load the content. It just freezes loading the main menu.

Worse comes to worse, clear its cache. It's already been said, but it seems that you think you'll lose your saves or something? Clearing the cache removes corrupt system data and game patches. So if you clear it and re download the patch and it works; great! If you clear it and it doesn't work even after that, you can at least rule that out. All that came with the update was the direct access to files instead of via the marketplace/psn, and that vocal patch that some argue made the game worse.

Well... that's not all that came with the patch. The most important part of the patch in our house is the lower requirements in BWT. If we uninstall the patch, some players here would be stuck on BWT (no where to go), but with the lowered requirements, they still have plenty of new setlists/venues to play.
