An interesting read about Harmonix. Not loaded with unknown information, But worth a read within the community I think. :)

Good read, thanks for posting it. It reminds me that Welcome to the Jungle will hopefully be in this game.

Ya, That was probably the only info in there that really made me go WTF? I had to triple check the date on the article, because I thought that was a confirmed testing song. Maybe there is hope for it to be on the disc after all.

Even though the date of the Article says Sept 17th, doesn't mean when the article was done. They were talking about moving offices, so I would guess it was a few months ago when this took place.

Yup and also the guitars they were using were most likely the x-plorer. So it probably took place a while ago, most likely around or at the time that video of Welcome to the Jungle was made. Either way I still hope that song is in the game, that video always got me so pumped up for Rock Band.

Ya, Weird to say the least. Check it out I also found this one dated the 14th of this month but yet talking about almost the same thing.

Does it worry anybody else that the HMX team might be performing lobotomy's on the people that visit their office and see/play the game...Either that or they stole one of those flashy things from M.I.B.
Very...Very strange

It's not unusual at all for studio visits to occur many months before the stories describing them are published. My guess is Harmonix invited the Wired and Portfolio writers (and possibly some from other publications as well) for the visit a couple months back. That's why they're still playing Welcome to the Jungle and have yet to move offices.
HMX or EA likely just put an embargo on the article. It's much better for HMX to have a flood of profiles like this one hyping their company and product appear closer to the release of the game rather than in the middle of June.
Don't be surprised to see a few more articles like this in the coming weeks.

Everyone originally thought "Welcome to the Jungle" had no chance of appearing in Rock Band after it was announced for GH3. Well, look at all the crossovers we have between both games - I think the chances that "Welcome to the Jungle" is another one of those songs is VERY high.

This article says that "As the song unfolds, colored dots cascade down the screen," which corresponds more closely with the build where they were testing WTTJ in my opinion. I don't think the HUD description now (colored rectangles) really melds well with colored "dots" anymore like what was in the leaked WTTJ vid. So I'd say this info is really old and shouldn't arouse much renewed hope in WTTJ. It could still happen, but thinking that it probably will from this article is unfortunately setting yourself up for disappointment. I think the chances of it not being in are much higher than it being in, personally.
