Amount of songs in shipped game

Hey guys. I'm a bit concerned about the number of songs the game is going to ship with. I know there are going to be around 45 career songs, but is the game going to come with any bonus songs, or only those 45? ... If it's only those 45 I will be a bit disappointed. I mean, Guitar Hero 2 shipped with 70-odd songs, so why can't rock band? We shouldn't need to shell out $25+ on DLC to get the same value as Guitar Hero 2.
I know that people will say "but there is more than one instrument this time, so you can play each song twice and it will be different!". So what? I still deserve at least the same amount of songs as in the previous GH games.

Of course if the game is shipping with some bonus songs then I'll be perfectly happy =]

I hate to break it to ya buddy, but you don't "deserve" anything. What Harmonix decides to put on the disc is their business. There's no reason/need for the self-satisfying ego trip here.

However, you will be happy to hear that there will be bonus songs, we just don't know how many or who they will be by yet.

Nah its not a rumor, its even on RockBand.com. They got some last minute songs or something like that. I'm excited about it, I hope we get some really good and hard to get bands.

actually thats not entirely true dude, if we demand they need to give it to us, cause without us, the consumer, the company folds, its just how the economy works, ask sega how that works

Even if it's those 45 songs, and that's it, it doesn't matter because of the amount of DLC that will be coming on the heels of the release.

I recall seeing screenshots of the RB menu. Under "Easy" it saif X out of 70 songs complete. "Medium" X out of 75 songs complete and so on..."Expert" being 85 or something like that.

That was put down by a member of Harmonix on the boards. They said if that was in fact a true screen shot showing 85 or 75 songs then they were playing a version with DLC because there will not be 30 or 40 bonus songs.

Keep in mind that each song requires at least twice as much work to produce for the game as GH songs did. So they aren't just being lazy or stingy.
