Wow, on "You've Got Another Thing Comin'" its just strum strum strum... boring... I may not dl that song afterall. I would hate to play bass on that song. Drums look like a real workout on all three of the songs that have uploaded so far.

Yeah, with the exception of "Screaming For Vengeance", the bass charts were pretty boring on all of the tracks. That's the only one I'm going to have to seriously work at. Looking forward to trying the guitar lines after work.

Well yeah, but that's pretty much what a lot of metal bassists did back in the day. Just pluck the root notes of the songs. That was very much Ian Hill's "style" of bass playing.

It's just like any album, you're gonna have some gems, and some duds. You'll very very rarely find a full album where EVERY track is fantastic :)

If ever. Which is part of why a full album is not the best idea. I say we stick to three and six song packs. There's TONS of music out there, no reason to be releasing 9 or more songs by the same band.

I think the guitar, drums, and vocals look like a lot of fun for everything. the bass isn't too appealing, but this leaves room for a ton of showmanship at parties and if you upstrum by plucking like on a real bass then every song is fun.

I'm definatley picking up a $40 point card on my way home today, can't wait to rip through these on drums. Basic beats for the most part, but really powerful and driven drumming. Awesome week for DLC!

Definitely not getting the whole album; I'm just not that much of a Judas Preist fan that I'd enjoy doing every one of the tracks. But hey, some of you are, and more power to you!

As for individual tracks, YGATC I'm on the fence about... it'll be fun to sing but I'd hate to be stuck with bass OR guitar on that one given it's just another repeat strummer. I got plenty of that on Highway Star, thanks.

I'm actually quite interested in Fever. I'd never heard it before but it's got this smooth flow to it I'm digging. I don't care about difficulty; I want music that sounds awesome, and that seems to fit.

Hey buddy. I think this is going to be my last DLC week for some time.
By next tuesday my xbox will be unhooked and I'll be startin my summer job that runs until August 1st.

But talk to araphin. I originally had arpahin, IBitePrettyHard and Duckzorz lined up to record these (and araphin was going to record and upload) but all three backed out on me last minute.

So I used what I had to record

We hadn't had a chance to sit down in the household yet and listen to the tracks, but this gave us a chance to do so, and to veto some songs from download and grab some others that we might not have considered on just listening. We'll end up with 4-6 songs out of 9 by the time we're done.

The bass on these is definitely not exciting. However, that's just how the music happens to be and I appreciate Harmonix taking an accurate approach to it. It will allow even less experienced bassists to give their team some good score boosts from the easy charting. The guitar, drums and vocals definitely make up for it. I agree that not every album is going to be full head-to-toe with awesome songs (Who's Next, The Wall and any other suggestions included), but this was a solid choice.

I agree here. I may get one more song from the album ( to have 4 total) I played a few of the songs already and I'm of the type that I should be able to play and ENJOY the songs I choose. I really enjoy the music and I forget about the scoring and stars most of the time.

Hellion/Electric Eye became my first Expert 5-star. I'm rather proud of myself, but that's just such a great song that I played it until I learned it.

I normally play on Hard, but the chart for Hellion/Electric Eye on Hard is so freaking boring. On the other Hand, Screaming For Vengeance on Hard seems disproportionately difficult... I think a few of the notes from H/EE migrated into SFV.

About the only song I haven't considered getting in the near-future, if at all, is Pain and Pleasure. I already have Hellion/Electric Eye, Screaming for Vengeance, and You've Got Another Thing Comin'. Even if it's a repetitive chart, it's still a pretty good, catchy song. I don't look for difficulty in songs, usually. If they rock enough, I'll get 'em. I like to have some songs to challenge me, and others that I can just unwind with.

if you are gonna stop doing full bands for a bit, send me some names of people i can go with to do the vids, i also do vocals(usualy) so can work out somewhat and i can get these vids up for people to preview.

the full band vids do work ALOT better then single instrument imo, especialy for those of us who play more then 1 thing, though the single instrument vids are usualy alot clearer

If you typically drum on expert, Screaming for Vengeance is pretty fast, but its extremely steady and easy to work in to. I actually score worse on Riding, however both are easily five star-able if you frequent the Metallica stage. I would download Riding for the difficulty, but Screaming is more fun imho.
