Double bass pedals

I love playing drums in real life

and most songs i play are on double bass

does anyone have anyideas if therre is going to be another bass pedal so we can rock out some even harder songs on drums like pantera, as i lay dying, killswitch engage, avened sevenfold and other bands like that

Hopefully down the line.. but in the immediate future it seems like they wanna make sure the casual gamers have an easy learning curve on drums first (and fair enough, with the money sunk into this). Fingers crossed that the bass pedal has a jack to plug in or something, and you could just buy another single one.

no double bass pedals maybe next game(though it' s never been mentioned by HMX). It's possible taht teh drum could be modded but we won't know til the game comes out and even then it will likely require some work. I have some theries already on how to do it.

The point of the game is not to replicate the drum experience 100%. It's to emulate and simplify the experience so everyone can enjoy the feeling of "making" music.

Don't expect a second bass pedal in future installments either.

No bass pedal "liek evah", though.. wouldn't that kill the hopes of a lot of songs by many big bands?

In fact, they're gonna have to deal with this issue for Metallica at some stage ain't they?

considering "one" is confirmed for DLC I'd say yeah they already have run into it. But basically you just play the abss beat at half time(every otehr hit) even though both hits come through the speakers. So even if we end up modding the controller teh game will ever have extra hits for us to use.

Aha, but it's only rumored for DLC so far, from a Rolling Stone article... although that is one of those rumors that is pretty simple to bet on coming true at some stage.

Playing at half-time though.. on expert mode that certainly doesn't sound like the sort of mandate HMX subscribes to (meaning it's always been note for note, and that you really will be "playing the drums" as stated).

Be interesting to see how this one plays out...

I should TOTALLY make a stand for the guitar controller to fit in that would make it play like a stand-up bass. y'know, for songs like Psychobilly Freakout. :D

I was actually thinking about this the other day and it would be great if the drumset had a port to hook up a second pedal for songs like The Light that Blinds and such.

I'm so sick of seeing this stupid type of thread about double bass pedals. WHO CARES!!!! It's a game. If they want to make it tougher to add a double bass affect you can either have poeple hit the pedal twice quickly or the pedal we have for the song is treated as a double bass pedal audibly.

obviously people who create and post in these topics care. I mean the whole idea of teh game is to make you feel like your in a band playing your respective instrument. And one of the coolest drum techniques is double bass pounding. I mean it gets featured in live music videos of popular bands. I mean why sound I care about guitar effects? Oh yeah because bands use it. If it's used prominently in actual rock bands HMX should consider using it. And I'm damn sure they have considered it. I agree it isn't a good fit for this game but they'd be inconsiderate to not leave room for it in the next. and even so I wouldn't expect it to be required on any otehr difficulty that expert.

EDIT: know what I'm sure it's coming because the drum controller going around has pedal input connected manually with a connector. That leaves room for an expansion pedal with a port splitter.

I think a double bass pedal would be cool, but for the 1st installment I think the one is fine. GH guitars only had the top 5 buttons at the top & now guitar controllers are coming out with low ones for solos - so in the future they make make mods depending on how good people get.
