So, we've seen the video that has the drum off using two drum sets.

First, is anybody considering buying more than one drum set, or are you hoping that this feature will be available for internet play?

Second, since the Grateful Dead play with two drummers, do you think it might be possible that when we receive the 18 playable Grateful Dead songs, that there could be an update to the core game (downloadable for free hopefully, if it's not already part of the software) that will allow you and a partner to play as the two drummers?

It may be pretty fun to have two different drum lines going on.

Cool idea, but I don't know if that'll work. Maybe two player only. If you play 4 player, you might have to exclude bass or guitar to fit another drum scrolling bar on the already scrunched screen.

probably wouldn't enough room on screen, but if they were willing to have an option where you could omit the bassist or lead for a second drum chart... well, it'd be pretty cool from a hardcore point of view anyway.

I wont be buying two drum sets. And head to head in all instruments will be both online and offline. Which will save everyone on money.

It was discussed in an interview about the Greatful Dead having two drummers and put simply they did it in such a way similar to some of the songs in guitar hero with rhythm and lead guitars, where they switch off which drums you are playing so you get the best and most fun experience you can. Basically you will get to play all the best parts of the drums. Also there probably isn't enough room on the screen for another instrument to be added to the band. But perhaps it would be cool to have drum co-op for Dead songs.

I agree that there won't be room to add another instrument to the four all ready shown. Dropping one in order to include two drum lines would be fine with me though.

i cant imagine anyone buying two drumsets just so they can play head 2 head against a friend. unless you've got that much extra cash laying around. i figure most friends will have a bundle of their own and bring over their drum set. if no one else you know is buying a bundle, make them pool some money and buy their own separately.

Well, I'm the only one in my group of friends that's got a PS3, and that is what I'm getting it for. But I'm buying one bundle, and I'm getting the other bundle for Christmas, so I guess it's like me just buying a bundle myself.

I hope you just mean that you'll be getting a second set of instruments... a second copy of the game probably won't do you much good ;)

Though this is true, it doesn't hurt to have an extra copy lying around.

Buying the instruments separately would be as much as the bundle, and EB Games/Gamestop wouldn't give me much for the disc anyway, so I'll keep it. :P

So can anyone clarify this issue for me? If I get an additional set of drums can a friend come over and play drum offs with me? My impression was yes this is the case - does anyone know if these drum off will be available for the entire setlist? thanks for the help---

I know plenty of people who own two GH guitars for coop/vs model in those games. What is the difference here? If some people really like drums I'm sure some will buy two, you know, once they actually sell the drum kits separately.

I have 2 bundles reserved at the moment with the intention of using the second mic and drums for the head to head portion of the game. Im just not certain this is gonna work using just my 1 tv and 1 360....it will, right?

Yeah, you'll be able to have a drum off, or tug-of-war with drums.
