I'm just curious as to who you guys think deserves to have a movie. There have been some good ones but I think there can be some more. Movies like this always interested me.
I don't need to say who I think deserves his own film/biography.

Unrealistically I would say Trent Reznor...

but realistically, Id vouch for Hendrix, or Led Zep.

Jimi Hendrix
Freddy Mercury

He has one.

There was talk of a Freddy Mercury movie being produced by Robert DeNiro, believe it or not he is a huge Queen fan, and he wanted to see Johnny Depp play Mercury. I could see him do that for the early 70's Mercury, he may have a trouble with 80's moustache Mercury. He can't sing either, unfortunately. But hey, who can match Mercury's voice? He can always over-dub.

Sadly, I have not heard any updates since earlier this year. so damn. :(

I would actually like to see a Metallica movie. I think it would have a lot of material to deal with. I know you said musician, but I threw in a band. :)

Dude he's "Captain Jack Sparrow" he can play anything and anyone!!! :p

No but seriously I think Johnny Deep is one of our time's great actors, I dont' think he would have trouble playing Freddy Mercury at any stage of his life. As for the singing, yeah of course dubed, Mercury's voice was one of a kind.

I'd go for Trent Reznor. Of course, I'd do anything for that man.

I think they could really improve by adding some crazy crap in there, though... make it not fully biographical... such as add in a time where maybe he invents a time machine... or meets Jesus... or invents a time machine and meets Jesus.

There are like 18 years unaccounted for in Jesus' life, he could have been hanging with Trent Reznor.

Haha! Trent Reznor is possibly directing a Year Zero movie after the second album of the YZ story is released.

How about Ozzy? I know he had a tv show but a movie on his life would be great...
Or Pantera, The Sex pistols

I believe there is a movie about the Sex Pistols or about Sid Vicious anyway, starring Gary Oldman.

Edit: it's called "Sid and Nancy" 1986

Black Sabbath or Zep
Both are the greatest bands of all time and probably would have the most intresting stories the movie industry would ever have.I'd also think it'd be funny if they showed Geezer meeting Satain in his bed like he said:D

There is a movie called "The Dirt" that should be due out in 09'.

It isn't about Ozzy (actually about Motley Crue), but he's in it.....

and he's played by............

Christopher Walken! http://imdb.com/title/tt0800325/ appearently it's just a rumour, but the Walkenator never refuses movie rolls.

I know you'll all flame me, but a Kurt Cobain film would be decent enough. I don't jump on the bandwagon for his songs, but his life, and possibly proposed different endings to what REALLY happened would be great.

Thinking Pac is still alive and Kurt didn't blow his brains out are both the same thing. Pac is dead, Kurt blew his brains out. End of story.

I like some of nirvana's music it's pretty good, but I have no respect for someone who takes their own life.

And as for a movie... Anything would do for me as long as it wasn't a crappy documentary and the director could find someone that looked almost exactly like the person.

You know they already kinda/sorta did a movie on Kurt, right? It's not 'officially' the kurt cobain story, but it's meant to be an interpretation of what might have happened. I think it's called Last Days...it's by some famous director or something, can't remember his name right now.

It's really, really slow for the most part...the kind of thing that I would've loved back when I was all hippie-like and into that artsy crap...now-a-days I just don't have time for something like that.

It's Called Last days by Guz Van Zant. I saw it when it first came out and I have to say it is still number one on my worst movies of all time list. It's just a horrible mess, the movie makes any Uwe Boll film seem like Apocalypse Now.

If Johnny Depp can play Capt. Jack Sparrow, then he can play Keith Richards. Rolling Stones movie anyone?
