Achilles Last Stand by Zeppelin would be fantastic.

As much of an advocate I am of putting Zeppelin in RB, I don't believe they should add their most stereotypical song, Stairway. Everyone thinks of Stairway as soon as they hear the band name muttered, and yeah it is a classic tune and I enjoy it as well, but I would honestly like something a little more...awesome.

I will admit, however, I will accept Stairway if that is picked, and enjoy it as well, but I think the best song they could add is Achilles Last Stand.

To start it off, the bass could be made to be challenging. Its highly important in this song and would be tricky to keep consistently.

The drums are awesome, as usual, and there are some fantastic parts that would make a terrific track in the long run.

The guitar would be awesome. At first it may seem like it would not suffice some, but there are some nice sounding solos in the song.

And the vocals, who doesn't want to try to sing to Plant's voice? Certainly it will be hard (admittedly, he has a particular high voice that would be hard to sing, but then again theres going to Rush, and Geddy Lee can reach high notes like its cake).

IF the only Zeppelin is Stairway, then yes I will accept it, but I think this would be an amazing song to play with some friends. Anyone else agree? Anyone else think any different song that these two?

The bass in that song is exactly why I wouldnt want it in the game actually. I hated the trooper for the same reason. That damned galloping bass kills me. If i didnt have to play bass, im all for it

I agree Achilles Last Stand is the best pick for Led Zeppelin just plain Epic if i do say so myself.

Honestly, it's a bit of a long song, and it does drag.

I'd much prefer something like, say, The Immigrant Song, just to get a quick injection of piping hot liquid rock.

Although, I still stand by my opinion of having Kashmir for Fiddle Hero.

As cool as the vocals would be, the guitar riff for Immigrant Song is simple and repetitive. I would vastly prefer Achilles Last Stand. It could easily be the final encore. However, I think Black Dog would be a far more likely choice.

I'd much prefer a song with more than four seconds worth of guitar repeated over and over. NO IMMIGRANT SONG; IT'S WORSE THAN STAIRWAY.

I'm glad you asked! I like Zeppelin songs that have guitar solos instead of one riff over and over! I also like Zeppelin songs that have drums and bass for more than half of the song!

Sorry Wings, but I'm going to have to argue against The Song Remains The Same. The first 90 seconds have no vocals, and the remianing 4 mins has maybe 2 mins of vocals tops and a lot of that isn't even words. (Unless, there's some version of the song I don't have...)

I'd prefer Achilles Last Stand or Rock & Roll. Achilles has instrumental breaks too, but there's still plenty of vocals at regulars intervals. (Although a lot of it isn't words either - Zep has a lot of "whooaa hoaaaa awwweeeaawwws" doesn't it?)

Well, if everyone who came on these boards for the first time would stop suggesting songs that don't fit this game, he could stop.

Stairway and Immigrant Song would not fit this game, plain and simple.
