Is November 6th the new date?

Many websites have changed the date of rock band to november 6th. maybe its just because they see that on eb games/gamestop and put it up on there site. But i want to hear official confirmation on the date from harmonix.

Everyone wants to hear the official date from HMX...i really hope it's the 6th though...then i can get it on release day...

It isn't the 6th..... well according to the "launch concert" which is on the 19th. Then again, the tour lands in Boston on the 8th, and i'm sure they would want to have a launch party in or around Boston. So who knows. That would be awesome.

The game most likely was finished over a month ago. They just want to do many last minute bug checks, along with the fact that they have to still mass produce the instruments and discs.

Isn't the 19th for the launch concert also a tentative date? I would love for an official release date to happen sometime soon, I'm getting tired of this debate of when this game is coming out. It would be such a pleasant surprise for this game to end up coming out on the 7th.

There was a post in this forum a while back about the xbox podcast inteview with Alex Riggopulopipus.....
During the interview he said they were 98% finished with Rock Band. The podcast was like July something I think.
So basically its been done, they're just waiting to release it. The wait may have something to do with the launch party, the department stores being prepared or it could be just to drive us all insane.

They confirmed that there will indeed be a Special Edition Bundle with a guitar, a mic, the drum set, and the game, but they didn't say anything about price yet.

In about 8 weeks this thing is coming out yet we have no clue on the price or the actual drop date. It's giving me real bad thoughts. The only real reason I can see for not giving out that info is because they may be a delay in release. At this point the game is done and discs and peripherals are being mass produced, they would def. know that they can or cannot hit their date and therefore would release it or keep it secret...

We haven't heard that RB has gone gold, so they are NOT "done", at least not until bug testing is complete. Remember, Halo 3 only went gold 2-3 weeks ago. HMX will probably go gold in about a month.

they do have an official price on it. its 200 for the bundle and if you get it the same date it comes out from eb games it will be 236 i think. Thats how much it was for me

I believe if you read the thread thoroughly, it was also noted that the 98% was that Harmonix was 98% ON rockband and 2% working on some other stuff(GH2)

But even still they must pretty much be done it... and I'm surprised its taken this long for a official release date.
