Ideas on how to save money for a ps3?

Is that from your allowance? If so, just keep saving it up. Sometimes later is better than never. :)
Um, you could work, if you're old enough.
You could ask your parents for some money?
You could look for money on the ground. :p
You could sell books or video games you never read/use.
If you get lunch money, you could save it up instead of buying food at school... maybe bring food to school.
I don't know... all I can think of is selling-related.

Make a deal with your parents to go halfsies maybe. Agree to do some work and chores for them everyday for however long. Maybe surprise your family by picking up the house and vaccuuming after you get home from school; the bigger the dramatic change, the better.

You'll get like 10 bucks for the gamecube. Keep it for Smash Bro's Melee. Just that game alone is worth keeping the system around. Old games could help, but unless you have a huge pile, you will be a far cry from the PS3's price tag.

Do you have any old systmes you can sell, PS2, Gamecube....? How about you mow some lawns or wash cars for your neighbors, just tell why you are doing it, I'm sure they will appreciate that fact. Also go for a used one at ebay maybe you can get one for 300 or 350 (40GB).

Gamestops give 10 bucks for a gamecube with 1 controller.
The rest of those game would probably go for anywhere between 2-7 dollars. Melee might go for more. Controllers go for $2.50 I think. They really rip you off, since there is no demand for gamecubes anymore.
So that makes 10+5+7*4(average)+8 for melee, a whopping 51 dollars. Is my guess.

Also, you might want to keep your gamecube controllers to use with the Wii for brawl. And any of those games with high replay value (Melee). which requires you keep the controllers.

yeah m neighbors are all old except for one so i think ill mow their lawns because for them its cheaper than a landscaper... and better!

Mowing lawns can pay pretty well. I used to get 10 bucks for about 45-60 minutes of work, and I arranged to do it for 15 neighbors once a week. 150 a week isn't bad at all, for less than 15 hours of work. I had to spend some of it on gas for the mower, but still a good deal.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves and charge too much, but don't charge too little or else everyone else will want the same price. Just be sure you do a good job and you actually get it all done THAT DAY and not take more than 2-3 hours for their lawn.

I know some of this has been said, but....

When I was a kid, my brother and I would Mow lawns, shovel snow off of driveways, sidewalks, take out people's garbage, and generally find odd jobs to do for people. We could get a decent amount for a days work, depending on how cooperative people were.

We would also save some of our lunch money in a shoebox, by cutting out that extra soda or milk per day. That is how we got our first NES, and a few games for it.

Heh, I remember walking home from Wal-mart all depressed because the clerk wouldn't sell the system to us. Then telling our dad, laughing, and with this really huge proud fatherly smile, piling us into the truck and driving us down there to purchase it. Then, when we got there, he actually paid for half of it, and let us buy games with the rest.

All because we worked and saved the money on our own.

Parents are pretty supportive, generally speaking, if you are willing to show some responsibility. If you already do chores around the house, ask about doing extra things around the house for a bit of an allowance.

There are a ton of things you can do. And if you don't want to work for it, you can always just cut out the candy, sodas, and Pizza at school and settle for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with a glass of water.

Even a few cents a day adds up pretty quickly.

You could beat up other kids at school and take their money. Within a month you could probably raise the $623 needed for a ps3 and rock band. Also as an added bonus you will probably be expelled so you will have a lot of time to play rock band!!! lol j/k don't do this but all the good ideas have already been said by someone else. Kids come up all the time wanting to mow my lawn and I usually let them. Mostly because I am lazy and would rather play rock band but sometimes it's just to help them make a little money. ;)
