How will you get Rock Band?

Well, I don't know how I'm going to get it. If it does in fact drop on the 20th of November, that's a Tuesday! I have school!! Either way, I'm going to freak! Either I can go in and get it on the Midnight Release, or get it after school that day. I mean, if I get it on the Midnight release, I'm going to have to go right to sleep when I get home, considering I have to get up at 5:30. Then I'll be freaking out all day that I have the game sitting at home, not being played! But if I get it after school, I have to be all jittery due to the fact that I have to RUSH to the Gamestop right after school and pray that they didn't accidentally take too many reserves and not have any...How are you guys gonna get it?

But really, that's probably what I'm going to do. I'll come home from school on Monday, go to sleep, get it at Midnight, play for an hour or two, get some sleep, and then drink some Bawls in the morning and then at lunch. It's what I did with Bioshock.

My buddies and I are taking the whole week before Thanksgiving off in an annual celebration of food, games, insomnia, and recreational usage of certain banned substances and alcohol, which we have lovingly named "The Nine" (the name deriving from the fact that we will be off of work for 9 days -- Saturday 11/17 - Sunday 11/25). I have reserved my copy of RB at the GameStop by my buddies' house and, depending on whether they do a Midnight Release, we plan to pick up the game right when the store opens (we each are getting the Special Edition Bundle), head back to their place, set up our 360s (they have 3 65" widescreen television sets, we will each be on a separate television eventually), then take to the makeshift stage (we're talking fog machines, stage lighting, and truss) and rock out until sun up. Then we'll probably crash for a few hours, wake up around noon and then hit the solo careers before regrouping later that day to continue our World Tour dominance. Yes, this will be a time to remember. Getting closer every day.

If they don't do a midnight release, then omit the sleeping between game playing.

I'll be getting it shipped to my school (I'm at college) I actually go on vacation the 20th after class is over. This is not a good thing. This basically means Ill get to pick it up in the mail and put it in my room for a good five or six days while I go home and see the family. It's going to kill me, having it sitting around and me being miles away unable to play it, I really need Rock Band to come out earlier than the 20th for me to be happy.

My only few hopes is that either it gets here a day or two early, like GH II did for me, so I get some play time in. Or I take my 360 home with me and maybe just the guitar or drum controller.

I'm going to be at work so I will ask my sister to go pick it up at GameStop I'll probably have give her a bribe of some sort (buy her a pair of shoes, makeup kit or whatever) my only worry is that since I preordered at GameStop there is a good chance they won't have it on the 20 (if RB is released on Nov-20) they will probably have it the next day, it has happened to me before, recently with WarHawk....:mad:

I'm probably putting down money on a pre-order today when I go pick up Eternal Sonata. I'm toying with the idea of taking off work that week too, haven't decided yet. If there is a midnight release, this is definately a game that I will make that sacrifice for. Ya know...with Mass Effect also due to hit on the 20th, that could almost guarantee a midnight release...

I'll be preordering once there's an official release date and the different bundles are official, having it overnighted to work, and taking the rest of the day off once it gets here. UPS and FedEx come to my job by 11am at the latest, so it's the fastest way for me to get things delivered. They don't come to my house until 9 or 10 at night, or they lose it altogether.

I have Tuesdays off from work. So regardless whether it is the 20th or 6th. I'll get it on the midnight release Monday night or be there at 10 in the morning on Tuesday because I'm pretty sure the GameCrazy here doesn't do midnight releases, they aren't even doing one for Halo 3. So I have no worries whatsoever lol.

Pick up my pre-order at my lunch hour, come back to work, and play it when I get home afterwards. No midnight releases or day off for me!

i preordered from eb games and its coming to me on the 20th the same day it comes out! I cant wait since we have that whole week of school off i will just stay at home and rock out with it and guitar hero 3

There's a Target I live down the street from that nobody seems to realize sells games, so they've always got what I'm looking for even after the release date. It's where I got GHII, Twilight Princess, and a few other games when no one else had them.

I went ahead and pre-ordered the special edition (aka bundle) from Gamestop over lunch. Had to lay down 25 bucks minimum, which is fine w/ me. Less to pay later. Forgot to ask what their system had down as the release date though. Not that it matters...it'll end up as whatever HMX says it is, but would've been nice to know what they had it listed at.

Well, assuming that it will be released on the 20th and my local Best Buy has a midnight pick-up, I'll be just doing that.

Well, I plan to be taking some vacation time for that week, so I'll probably get up when I get up and head over to the game store and pick it up, as much as I want it, I don't think I'll be breaking my schedule to pick it up.

Though if my store does open that midnight (which I doubt) then I'll be picking it up then, I'm sure I'll be plenty awake, and probably stay up late playing it.

Though when it gets closer to launch I'll probably be more excited for the game and will rush out to get it as soon as possible.

i'll probably pre-order the game-drums combo (i'm hoping it's only $100), and use my x-plorer and headset for guitar and vocal duties. Then i'll probably ask for a strat for christmas. All of the sudden I have a whole $200 rock band bundle for only $100 or so.
