It's clear that everyone is looking for a way to game the system these days. The video game system, that is. In the vein of that Guitar Hero cheat-mod we saw the other day, four undergraduate students at Texas A&M University have built a Guitar Hero playing robot that can shred with the best of them... no hands required. The system -- dubbed Slashbot -- works as a completely standalone process, using a converter box to translate specific pixel information from the screen intro note presses and strums on the mechanical contraption. On average, the bot is achieving 90 percent accuracy in expert mode, and has yet to be defeated by a human challenger. Next up? It plans to eradicate all human life on Earth, of course! Wait wait wait...it's getting 90% in Expert and it hasn't been defeated by a human challenger?

Man, Texas A&M Univ. students must really suck at GH3. I suck at GH3 and even I can beat 90% in Expert (except TTFAF, bah!). :D

well, judging from the score that thing got on Cliffs of Dover, I can beat it. It didn't go that great. Didn't really keep a steady combo going. Not sure if they tuned it up since then or not, I'm just going by the video.

I can score over 300k pretty consistently at Cliffs of Dover. :)

come on, it must be less then a year old. cut it some slack! lol. Besides I only downstrum and I have like 71 gold stars on guitar. So does that make me a n00b?
