Well to tell the truth, i have never played these guitar / music games before a month ago.

It started with Karoake Revolution American Idol Encore, loved singing so much , i went and bought this.

NOW, heres my question. Since i been playing this game ever since getting it, i went back to the other game, see top, and looked to see what songs were for download. Well, nothing new.

I thought it was made by harmonix too? If so , why arnt they putting any new dlc on that game? Makes me wish i hadnt bought it before now.

The older Karaoke Revolution games were developed by Harmonix. The more recent games in the series come from Blitz. All are published by Konami. There is some DLC up that was posted last month, but it appears to be tracks from previous KR games so far. Not sure it's worth 1.49 apiece to buy tracks I already own just to play them in the current iteration of the series.

Karaoke Revolution: Americaon Idol Encore, is -not- made by Harmonix. It is made by Konami and Freemantle Media. Check the box cover or do some research, you won't see Harmonix listed anywhere on it.

Also, They've released 106 Songs for DLC since it's Feb. 22nd release. Much more songs than Harmonix has released to date, and has been out 3 months later than Rock Band. Lastly, they are smart and are simply releasing -all- songs from -all- the previous Karaoke Revolution Games, and raking in the money. Something Harmonix should do, for sure, is release -all- songs from each of the Guitar Hero series in which they were involved.

1. Instrumentals :I.E. Frankenstien from GH1, YYZ from GH2. would not work in RB with out vocals
2. Licenses for GH songs, are harder to get, or harder to get masters for (Pretty much most of the main setlist songs on GH1 and GH2 were covers)
3. They are slowly going back to a few of these songs (MTAF, YGATC, MIAB, WP)

I've been playing this game also....The release 21 new songs every other Tuesday......This coming Tuesday April 29th should have another 21 new songs.....

You never know ahead of time what it is going to be though....The forums for that game are crap....Nothing like what you see on here!
