I always find myself going back and buying old songs that I passed up downloading before (there really aren't too many of them...I've bought 85% of the DLC)... I'm thinking I'll get Song With A Mission by the sounds... I listened to it and really like it, but WILL SOMEONE PLEASE TALK ME OUT OF BUYING 'WE CARE A LOT' BEFORE I GO THROUGH WITH IT?!? PLEASE?

Ha, sorry, can't help you there. I actually like "We Care A Lot". :)
Singing it's the best part though. Especially when you start to customize it.

But that's the only reason why I'm considering buying it... because I hear it on the discovery channel or in Pauly Shore's Bio-Dome and I think "hmmm...maybe I should buy that."
I bought That crappy ramones song rockaway beach because I almost liked the song and was sadly dissappointed at how un-fun it is to play...even though I had seen videos on youtube of how it's nothing but a big steaming pile of chord-trains, I bought it anyway... and I'm now $2 poorer because of it.

You have 85% of the DLC and "WE CARE A LOT" is excluded?
BLASPHEMER!
Yeah, it's Chuck Mosely, but it's still Faith No More!
Buy it now!

Why should we stop you from buying a song that makes you sing, "We care a lot about garbage pail kids because they never lie. We care about transformers cause they are more then meets the eye."

It all comes down to preference, because it's a pretty different song compared to Epic. It has a hip-hoppish sound to it. I say get it, cuz it is very good as others already said. The beats on the drums is very fun to play too; I get so into it that I sometimes dance while I'm drumming at it heh. I don't do that often for a lot of the songs, but this one really got me into the mood. But definitely, this would be a fun one to sing as well, if you're into that.

Its a cover but its not a bad cover and it's a very good song.
I actually went out and got both of the sounds albums after hearing Song with a mission in rock band and I haven't regretted it once they both kick a$$ and song is far from the best song off the album imo which is another reason why I love this game as it introduces you to new bands.
I like some Faith no More but I really don't care alot about we care alot.
would like to see zombie eaters and some stuff off angel dust tho oh and last cup of sorrow and album of the year

The song is growing on me... I think I'll buy it.
While I'm here, does anybody want to try and talk me into buying any more songs?
Here are the only songs I haven't bought (in order of release):
Sick, Sick, Sick
Heroes
Moonage Daydream
Queen *****
Ever Fallen In Love?
My Iron Lung
Attack
The Kill
Don't Look Back In Anger
Live Forever
Siva
Complete Control
Teenage Lobotomy
El Scorcho
March Of The Pigs
The Collector
The Perfect Drug
Blinded By Fear
D.O.A.
(I don't really like thrash metal, so don't even bother trying to get me to buy the last two, otherwise... take your pick! :))

I was considering some of the Bowie stuff, but I really have never been a big Bowie Fan... I like Suffragette City and Ziggy Stardust, but I've not really gotten into any of his other stuff... and Space Oddity makes me want to bash my head into a brick wall (it's so repetitive and just not very good IMHO).
About Thrasher:
It was the only thrash metal song that didn't make my ears start instantly bleeding (it took until a minute and a half or so through the song before they started to trickle :D) and I wanted an incredibly difficult song to challenge myself and my friends with.

Well I'm a rampaging Bowie fan, so obviously I'm in huge support of that pack. But in the same breath, I acknowledge that Bowie isn't for everyone. The songs are very "worm their way into your head" ones though. When you first hear them, you might be all "WTF is this crap?" but then one day, when you least expect it, you'll find yourself humming "Moonage Daydream".
And "Heroes" is just a straight up classic. Every time he busts out with "I will be king" around the midpoint of the song, I just get goosebumps. One of my favourite songs period.
But anyway, enough of my Bowie love, because I could go on (and on and on).
From you unbought list, I also really recommend "Complete Control" by The Clash. This one is a punk anthem. Really great, energizing vocals, and a blast on all the other instruments. It's a fantastic song in its own right, and an awesome addition to Rock Band.
My opinions. Take 'em for what they're worth.

Sure, these two:
Don't Look Back In Anger
Live Forever
I didn't download them when they were first released. Never was a big fan of Oasis even though I have three of their CDs. The pack came out and I said, ehhh.
Then I came to these board, I decided I wanted one song and asked which I should get. "Live Forever" was the most voted song. So I DLed it and loved it. Enjoyed it so much I picked up "Don't look Back..." later that evening.
Still don't have Wonderwall, but after the feedback I got, not sure I want it. I understand its the worse of the three. But, I can say, those two songs are a joy to play. Get 'em. Forget "We Care A Lot" and get "Live Forever" instead... you be picking up the other song later, after you play "Live Forever"
Lets see... 1, 2, 3... yep, I mentioned "live forever" three time, now its stuck in your head and you will have to get it.
As far as the other songs on your list... nah, wouldn't waste my money on them.

Here are the only songs I will now immediately buy!
My Iron Lung
Don't Look Back In Anger
Complete Control
El Scorcho
The Perfect Drug
I fixed your statement!
These 5 are MUST buys...All five will end up in every Make Your Own Setlist you create, plus a lot of people have them online.

Finally somebody who actually tried to pursuade me to NOT buy the Faith No More Song... I'm still considering it, but I might pass on it again... at least until the next time I break down and decide to buy some old DLC! :D
I don't know...everytime I hear it I think of Dirty Jobs and Pauly Shore in Bio-Dome and it's wierd... Bio-Dome is not something I want to be reminded of a lot.
I was STRONGLY considering Heroes, because of how its on "The Best Of Bowie" but the fact that it's a cover kinda has dissuaded me until now... I usually don't care, but if it's a song that I'm only moderately interested in, it makes a difference... especially if it's a bad cover.
The Oasis one's I'll consider... I actually passed on all three originally, but then I gave wonderwall a chance and recognized the song and started to like it. Live forever was one I was considering because I find my self singing the "maybeeeeeeeeeeee...." part to myself sometimes (JUST FROM LISTENING TO THE PREVIEW OF THE SONG IN THE RB MUSIC STORE! I've never actually heard the song all the way through I don' think!)

I'll relisten to complete control... I'm not a huge fan of punk... I really can't stand the ramones for example (they do a couple good songs, but the rest of their library just annoys the hell outta me) I can't remember why I didn't want it the first time around so I'll give it a look and a listen on youtube...

Sick, Sick, Sick- fun and hard and catchy. I hated at first, but this has become one of my standards.
Heroes- redundant and way too long. You can skip this one
Moonage Daydream- my number one favorite song on Rock Band that I had not heard of before Rock Band. My closer.
Queen *****- fun and decent song. Worth the buy
Ever Fallen In Love?- the best of the Punk Pack songs for me.
My Iron Lung- Not a big Radiohead fan, but this song is GREAT! Another must buy
Attack
The Kill- Both of the 30STM songs are way more fun than I expected, but am not sure if they are worth 1.99 since I bought them at .99
Don't Look Back In Anger- decent, but you can skip it
Live Forever- decent, but you can skip it
Siva- classic Pumpkins and a fun song. Lots of changes
Complete Control- YOU'RE MY GUITAR HERO!!!
Teenage Lobotomy-meh
El Scorcho- catchy song vocally, but boring on guitar
March Of The Pigs
The Collector
The Perfect Drug- Meh...too much piano mapping for me.
Blinded By Fear
D.O.A.- Not a thrash fan so can't really say.
Hope this helps.

No I don't like Bio-Dome. I just heard the song used in that movie...and quite frankly, it was the best aspect of the movie.
