Okay, I have been wanting to connect to live for a while, since I beat the original 58 Songs on solo tour. And now I'm getting confused about connecting my xbox 360 to the internet.
I know so much that you need to run an ethernet cable to your xbox, yet, my computer is currently using the only ethernet cable in my modem. (Not a router, only has one ethernet slot)
So I was wondering, if I were to remove the ethernet cable from the back of my computer, to the back of my xbox, would I still be able to reconnect my internet to my computer afterwards, without any hitches? (Re configuring Internet or anything like that).
Also, If I have recently boughten my Xbox, and have not hooked it up/signed into LIVE with it, will I have the apparent "30 Day Trial" of Live Gold?
PS: Where would I be able to buy XboxLIVE Cash Cards to buy DLC for Rockband?

Yes, you can safely unplug the cable from your computer and plug it in again later without having to reconfigure anything. Pretty much every operating system on the planet can recover from a lost network connection automatically.

Almost any store that sells the 360 or 360 games sells those cards. Best Buy, Circuit City, etc.
