I mean, GTAIV comes out that day, and it has to live up to the Judas Priest album, which very few things can do..

GTAIV is certainly the most anticipated release of the year so far, but I, personally, don't think it will have a bearing on the DLC for this week.

Now as far as a let down we will have to see, but after reading other posts I am beginning to believe it will be something 90's-00's era.

i think the dlc's will still get downloaded. not everyone plays GTA and people will get it the following week or so if not. I play multiple games at once. I think all is good release the DLC's

I don't think it will fail. In my opinion, I disliked the JP DLC so it can only impove in my eyes.

I know people wil buy the DLC no matter what -- as I have it all.
But still, I think it will disappoint.
...Unless we get Painkiller & Heavy Metal by Judas Priest....or that Metal Pack they promised us

For some people, the DLC will be a letdown compared to the Judas Priest album. For others (whether they liked the JP release or not), it will be an improvement. This is how it is each week. Any talk of DLC that has to live up to previous DLC is ill-advised, since everyone's perception of DLC is different. Would Who's Next live up to the JP album? For some it would exceed, and for others it would be a disappointment. There's no real comparison.

As for GTA IV, it is a non-issue. The biggest show of strength HMX can show is to release regular old DLC--the message being that RB is not intimidated by the release of this game. I know I'm going to be playing new music next Tuesday (assuming they're songs I like) and not jacking cars.

I will buy GTAIV, I will buy DLC(unless it is truly something I personally don't care for which hasn't happened but twice) DLC+GTA=Splooge

Uh, the Judas Priest album wasn't that earth-shattering. It really boiled down to about 3 really good tracks, which is what any good DLC week looks like.

Plus, not everyone plays GTA. I'll be getting IV, but I have many friends who wont be, and even I'm not that excited about it. I have no doubt I'll still find time to rock out to some new DLC. :)

I doubt the DLC will fail, to me... its really only been a complete failure two weeks. The Thrash and Grateful Dead Packs. I have a pretty open taste in music... and even I couldnt stand those songs.

So, unless its Thrash Pack or Grateful Dead Pack 02, it will be at least a little good.

As for GTA, I will be buying it (at midnight on Monday, ROCK!), and it will be taking up most of my gaming time, however, I do have a significant other in the house who doesnt really care for GTA, so I'm sure we will play the new songs on Tuesday.

Honestly, the only things that will keep me from GTA all night Monday will be A Weezer Pack or a REALLY good Metallica Pack (I'm talking One, Fade to Black, Sanitarium, etc)

No the only thing that will make this weeks DLC fail, is this weeks DLC.

I thought you were done. Then leave.

I've got til Monday night to sit here and talk about how much this weeks content sucks.

I'm starting to agree with you. I like some of the classics, and I like playing them. But give me a damned break here.
