Being a left handed drummer I am very interested in wether or not the Drums can be set up for lefty, or the UI can be oriented for a left handed set up. If not...I hope they are working on it. Anyone have some information on this? I've been looking everywhere with no luck any info is appreciated. Thanks!

There will be some kind of lefty flip in the game, similar to how guitars have a lefty flip, to accommodate those lefty drummers.

Yep. That's one reason we made the drum set symmetrical.

Awesome. I thought I may have seen something about actually moving the "drum heads" to left handed orientation. But if you can just flip the notes on the screen that'll work just the same. Thanks for the info!

I have no idea what the difference is between left-handed and right-handed drumming. Is it just more notes to be played on your dominant side or what?

Look at a drumset through a mirror. That's the difference :D

Basically the same reasoning as left-handed guitar: you play the hi-hat with your dominant hand.

It's just a different movement. As far as going across the toms to my left opposed to my right for a right handed set up. Bakkster is right in the fact that the hi-hat is hit with the left opposed to the right hand. and right hand hits the snare oppose to the left. It's just a different orientation and could be difficult to adjust. And to be honest if I'm going to be playing this I do actually want to learn more and I would like to learn it the left handed way =D.

I can't find the recent blog post ATM, but there was one on lefty support in Rock Band. It was basically stated they wanted to make things as accessible as possible for those freaks. :D ;)

Kind of a technical question from a drummers stand point. Is there any kind of resistance in the base pedal? In an actual drum set the moving of the pedal head takes a little bit of work, and I was just wondering if that was reflected in the base pedal on the games set.

You guys are doing an amazing job on this game. I'm not trying to be picky i'm just honestly curious. You guys are making a great product, and you are impressing everyone with it. Thanks again.

haha that's kool, because normally we get left behind in those regards so it's very kool that they have that set up for us abnormals. :p

There is a lefty-flip for drummers. It would be unfair to have it for guitar and bass, and not drums. (But what about left-handed singers?!)

I was watching the stage demo from PAX video on GameSpot and they showed a pause screen during a drummer vs. drummer battle and one of the options was "Lefty Flip." See below:

There is also a lefty flip for the singers, so they can hit the tambourine parts with their right hand.

You're a righty who's also a lefty singer.

Wow, these control schemes run really deep... what if i also want to use Legacy stick controls?
