Actually shadebug the Harmonix pack 1 is still 80 and I'm pretty certain crushcrushcrush, shockwave and beethovens C**t is still 80 also. Along with motley crue.

they tend to give the discount prices on lesser known bands. that and for limited time specials.

I should expect still alive would stay free, but you never know

As for hoping it stays free/cheap in europe, you can always take a gamble and set up a US account and download the songs you want now. That or gethe ps3 version and know that it'll work

I'd actually be tempted to do that, but I can't. I don't actually have a 360 yet. I'm actually getting one mostly just for Rock Band.

(I won my Rock Band, so I'm not shelling out for both. If I hadn't won Rock Band I probably wouldn't be getting it or a 360)

I've always loved the idea of one day winning an xbox in a competition and burning it or something infront of everybody. Actually, the dream goes that I go on pimp my ride and they install an xbox in my boot as well as some sort of hydraulic lifting system somewhere, so I use that to crush the xbox as well as the crappy 3rd party peripherals they give you with it

I got a choice of console. I chose 360. More of my friends have 360s, and I didn't want to wait any longer for Rock Band.

Also, 360 was the cheaper option.

Wrong. The SXSW "pack" songs are still priced at 80 MSP. The deals are made when it is a special occasion and Harmonix just wants to give back to the fans.
