Which version of 'Red Tandy' are we going to be getting? The regular 2:20 version? Or the extended alternate version at 3:55?
The longer the better.

not sure, but I'd say the shorter A-Side single edit version, not the extended one...we'll have to see though

1) Waste your time bumping when no one who can answer will see this
2) Wait 6 or 7 hours
Up to you...

I dunno, in the case of My Sharona, they went for the full album track over the single edit.
If Red Tandy's extended version has better guitar/drums/whatever, HMX will probably go with that.

I had the same question when the DLC was announced, too. Turns out, it's neither.... It's a 6 minute version! It has the little jam at the end of the 3:55 version, but extended quite a bit. Awesome bass work in there!

Not to troll up this thread, but I am amazed people are actually familiar with this song enough to ask which particular version we're gettting.
For those who know, how did you first hear about other songs by this band? Are you local to them?

You are actually amazed that people might listen to music you've never heard of? I bet my iPod would blow your mind...

Most people just went to the bands website after the songs were announced and checked them out...The band is pretty local to CA...great stuff though

Good song, the overall style reminded me of David Bowie, especially in the first few minutes.

This song is definitely the extended version. Awesome trippy jam session at the end :P

Does anyone know if the version in the game is going to be available commercially / for download?

It was announced, I listened to it, I liked it, I decided to buy it.
Isn't that what everyone does when Harmonix announces DLC they aren't familiar with?
P.S. Also, I found the EP on iTunes and saw the 2 different versions.
P.P.S. I downloaded the song free from here: http://blindingflashes.blogs.com/indiefeed_alternative_mod/2007/04/download_red_ta.html
