OK new information on guitar hero3 is that kool thing by sonic youth is in. Also i think it may be just for the xbox 360 that you can enter a code and get three songs for guitar hero 3. But you have to buy the guitar hero 3 soundtrack that comes out on the 30th of October. The three songs are Carcinogen Crush by AFI, Tina by Flyleaf, and Putting Holes in Happiness by Marylin Manson (Nick Zinner remix). Here is the website for you all.

AFI.. EMO ALERT , they remind of Britney's Biggest Fan also thats sorta idiotic unlockable songs through a code.. Wow Activision is sure screwing up this game.

Kool Thing by Sonic Youth...this seems to imply that the leaked set list is probably accurate for the most part. Lame.

So they lock out 5 for Co-op then 4 more (all wich suck including a SECOND AFI song) for a code. This game is nearing complete joke. Thankfully RB is still going to kickass even if the last 10 to 12 songs suck.

Yeah. Honestly. Console specific DLC? Activision/Neversoft are really messing this game up.

As stupid as console specific DLC is if this is going to be the type of DLC they are going to be putting out on a regular basis(you'd figure you would want your first batch of DLC songs to be really good or at least fairly popular songs/bands. See: Who, The) it can stay on the 360.

Yeah, I don't think this will be worth it. And if it's like a code like you put in at the main menu to get hyperspeed or something, I'm sure it'll be on the internet soon enough.

So if I understand the original article correctly... you have to buy some sort of a soundtrack CD disc, and in return you get a code redeemable for 3 exclusive tracks. (presumably similar to the unique codes on xbox live points cards)

If the GH2 360 bundling strategy was unpopular, this is like the nuclear megaton version of an unpopular bundling strategy.

I think they should just go full force and advertise an exclusive AC/DC album download with the purchase of any Lexus or Mercedes automobile.

I won't be getting those 3 extra songs.

Me either, I have no interest in it whatsoever. I wish I could buy a smaller cheaper version of GH III with just the songs I like.

I might get the songs. It depends what is on the CD. I really don't understand what RO and Activision are thinking. I think they are trying to milk that cash cow. The only problem is it's a bull.

Which is, what? Four songs?

Those songs really don't seem all that impressive. I'll just get some regular dlc.

I'm really not interested in these bands, maybe some are. The AFI song hasn't been released yet on a cd or anything, so who knows what that sounds like.

This might be a bit more enticing if it was for like 10 bucks at Best Buy, but paying 17-18 bucks for a cd with some new so-so songs doesn't sound really good.

Okay this is hilarious:

You're telling by buying the music for a music game (a licensed music game mind you not original music) you can get 3 extra songs NOBODY wants *and* it's all available for one console?

Freaking. Hilarious.
