Well, it's that time of month again to decide if the past four weeks were good or not. Here's a refresher...
April 1st: Still Alive
April 8th: HMX Pack
Sprode - Freezepop
Shake - Count Zero
Rock Rebellion - Bang Camero
April 15th: Classic Rock Pack
Call Me - Blondie
Message In A Bottle - The Police
Simple Man - Lynrd Skynrd
April 22nd: Judas Priest - Screaming For Vengance
April 29th - The Mother Hips and Smashing Pumpkins
As for me, I would call it a fail, not an epic fail, but a fail. I only downloaded 2 songs (excluding Still Alive) that I thought were good.

EPIC mediocre month.

Judas Priest, the Smashing pumpkins and Blondie saved the month from becoming a total failure.

Judas Priest, and the Pumpkins were songs I'll like playing by myself, but for the rest of my band it's just more stuff they've never heard or aren't interested in it appears. So a Win in my book, but I can't call it epic.

Prety decent month, picked up 11 new songs, and boosted my number of in-game songs to over 100 now.

Smashing Pumpkins saved it.

There was something good nearly every week for me -- I already owned the HMX tracks since I got the magazine, but Sprode and Rock Rebellion are great stuff if you're a longtime Harmonix fan. Only week I skipped getting anything was Judas Priest week, just wasn't interested. So I'll call it a win. I'dve wanted to see an album I was keen on like Who's Next or Nevermind to make it an epic win.

totally epic win. Judas Priest album rules!! SCCCCCCCCCREAMINGGG! SCREAMING FOR VENGEANCE ! and plus simple man as well.. that song is just all around fun no matter what instrument you're playing especially if you're doing vocals. man oh man. it could have totally been a better month, I could have dealt without the HMX pack except for bang camaro they're a fun band to play. all in all, i didn't dig nearly all the stuff this month but the priest album and having some more skynard was totally epic win for me!

I personally think they should have stuck with Who's Next to be the first album. I just don't think judas priest deserved it

It had the two worst of weeks of DLC ever, Still Alive and a rehash. Fail. Judas Priest and Zero keeps it from Epic Fail.

Individual impressions:
Still Alive - Cute. Unique. Easy.
Sprode (Freezepop) - Catchy tune. Fun chart.
Shake (Count Zero) - Another catchy tune. Frustrating chart. :D
Rock Rebellion (Bang Camaro) - The chart is like a cross-country race--lots of different areas to explore! :D
Call Me (Blondie) - Tough chart to sight-read, but you quickly get the hang of it.
Message In A Bottle (The Police) - Glad to have it, but GH stole its thunder.
Simple Man (Lynrd Skynrd) - Song almost makes you want to cry. :D Great chart.
Judas Priest, Screaming For Vengance - We all know the hits, but the "lesser" tracks now have new and full appreciation!
The Mother Hips and Smashing Pumpkins - Too early to comment for us lowly PS3 users.

I liked the stuff in the first three weeks. Judas Priest is alright , not my favorite, but still good see albums starting finally. This week kinda sucks. So, over all good month.

I wonder about the people that vote for "EPIC FAIL" because we got a freaking full album. Even if you don't like Judas Priest, it's the start of full albums showing up! Not only that, but Motley Crue premiered a new single in Rock Band, which might set a precedent that other bands will follow. And, hell, we even got a free song. Regardless of what you feel the quality of the songs are, there's no denying that we had 3 important landmarks of DLC this month.
I voted for "win," even though the more I think about it I should have voted "EPIC WIN." Screaming for Vengeance is great fun, Message in a Bottle is one of my favorite Police songs, the Skynyrd song is great, Saints of Los Angeles is one of the better guitar songs that have been released, and Still Alive is great to have for my gamer friends to enjoy.

got them all(except hmx pack which I already bought), definite win, not epic but still great selection of songs.

My thoughts (from mostly a drumming perspective) and I bought all of them.
Still Alive - The song is pretty fun albeit very simple...the lack of quantity made it a fail week for me.
Sprode, Shake, Rock Rebellion -- I like all three of these songs actually but I had had them for months so it was an epic fail kind of week for me. If I'm purely rating the songs, however, I vote win on this week as well.
Call Me, Message In A Bottle, Simple Man, Saints of Los Angeles. I love classic rock and would say message in a bottle was great...simple man is a great song but the drum part was so easy it bored me. Call me was fun for a song I didn't really consider "classic rock". Combined with the new Motley Crue song which I find incredibly addictive to drum along to, this week is a win for me.
Judas Priest, Screaming For Vengance - Epic win. Massive amounts of quantity and for the most part really banging drum parts.
The Mother Hips and Smashing Pumpkins - Possibly the easiest songs in one week yet. I didn't really know any of the songs but I found myself enjoying all 3 of them and don't regret the purchase at all. Win.
So, all in all, I rate the month as slightly above average and thus I voted Win.
I voted Epic Win. We got a cult favorite from a video game (for free), a few classic tracks and more female representation, formerly exclusive tracks became all-accessible, a new single debut from a classic 80's band, and a full album from the Metal Gods themselves.
If you think anything less of April as a great month for DLC... you've got another thing coming. :D

I gave it a "win", even though I only downloaded the Classic Rock pack (had the HMX Pack from the OXM disc already).
Not really interested in a Judas Priest album or this week's DLC, but I certainly appreciate that they've started releasing full albums. :)

all of you people who voted fail are being a little ridiculous unless you didnt like any week. the way i see it, if you like even one week of dlc during the month, that should be a win. you can't expect to be catered to every single week.

Judas Priest made the month...Ive never listened to them before really except for Breaking the Law....so I gave the album a try and love every second of it....Fever is probably one of the best songs to play and esp. sing...I have to say Im a fan of the band now....
I like DLC like that though...stuff Ive never heard before or gave a chance....really expands my musical horizen....why wish for stuff that uve heard 100's of times already when you can expierence something new and exciting....but thats jsut me

You know I think it deserves not to be a fail simply because all the tracks were master tracks. I really like that trend.

Epic fail. I don't even remember what I downloaded from April. It certainly wasn't Judas Priest's album (except YGATC) or the Mother Hips.
Hopefully May will be better...especially if they release some Muse to coincide with the Euro launch.

Still Alive, Classic Rock pack, and You've Got Another Thing Coming brought April just out of the EPIC FAIL category.

You guys are wrong I voted epic win cause of judas priest and I got the album, still alive and classic pack the motely crue pass on this last dlc. so now i have about 130 some odd songs. And I believe that the judas album was a failure to some cause they are waiting on nevermind and the who. When you should check out just more than you got another thing comming cause that was not the only good song on the album the whole album kick some butt.. oooohhh ya if this doesnt make sense i am kinda not coherant a loonnnnggggggg dayyyy

I am wondering if people are more voting because of the content, or because albums are finally here.
If I had to choose, I would say it's a meh month.
It ties with February for "least amount of DLC I found interesting".
This is of course my personal opinion.
I like some of the Judas Priest songs, four of them to be precise.

This was definitely a win month, but overall mediocre.
Highlights:
1. Whole Judas Priest album
2. Premiere Motley Crue release
3. Classic Rock pack was excellent and completes my Police needs (yes, we can move on to other bands)
4. A freebie song to boot
Lows:
1. Whole album was Judas Priest not The Who (and there's only 2-3 of songs that I cared for)
2. The free song, well, not my cup o' tea
3. Overall quality, not equal to quantity
In any event, the sheer volume of songs and variety made this a great month, and I didn't even mention the Pumpkins song.

The entire Judas Priest album was amazing. But Two HMX packs? (counting the stupid Mother Hips thing)... come on. Still Alive is possibly the most boring song since that damn Weezer song. Simple Man/Message in a Bottle were disappointing, the cover from GH2 was better than Sting's version. All in all, Fail. Every month since the debut has been a fail, if not epically so. I want what was promised, namely the metallica album and the Who. The cars and the Pixies are going to be awful. Have fun wasting your money folks!

Still Alive - no thanks
HMX Pack - i already got, but just cause now more people on live actually have rock rebellion, ill give it a thumbs up
Classic Rock Pack - really like this pack, thumbs up
Judas Priest - havent dl'd it. i've heard there are only really 3 or 4 good songs worth downloading..so meh i'd say its a so-so dlc week
Mother Hips & SP - thumbs up for smashing pumpkins - didnt buy the mother hips dlc but really who did (other than ppl who dl every song)
final verdict: Win

Only song I hate this month was Call Me.
I say EPIC WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN
For the reasons
Week 1: I am a HUGE Portal fan and Still Alive is great, and it was made by John Coulton. (BTW can't wait for Portal 2)
Week 2: PS3 user here and I wanted Shake and Rock Rebellion, Sprode is out there and horrible on bass but I loved it. Worth more than 3$
Week 3: Motley Crue single? One of my best buys yet even if I did pay 2$ for because I couldnt wait for the PS store to update ;p. And Classic Rock Songs are amazing, Message in a Bottle was one I was waiting for, Simple Man is truly epic and Call Me was meh, but it was worth playing to hear the funky keyboard mid song
Week 4: It's Judas Priest and I love metal 'nuff said for me
Week 5: Havent played it yet, but The Mother Hips bass is fun to play and Zero is a great song period
So once again
EPIC WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN!

Rest = meh

April 1st: Still Alive - Amusing, but dissappointing that we only got one song.
April 8th: HMX Pack - Good for those that did not have it, but I only really like Sprode
Sprode - Freezepop
Shake - Count Zero
Rock Rebellion - Bang Camero
April 15th: Classic Rock Pack - Solid
Call Me - Blondie
Message In A Bottle - The Police
Simple Man - Lynrd Skynrd
April 22nd: Judas Priest - Screaming For Vengance - F***ing amazing!!!
April 29th - The Mother Hips and Smashing Pumpkins - Pumpkins, hell yeah!!! Mother Hips, no thanks.
Almost an epic win based on Judas Priest alone, if only the first two weeks would have been stronger.

Even if there's one good week, that doesn't make the month as a whole a win. I only downloaded 6 songs this month. That's not enough for a win.

I think the Judas Preist made it a win this month.
Police & Skynard - Worth every penny
Zero was a pleasant suprise also.
That is all I DL'd this month

The only reason this wasn't epic win was due to the fact I already had the HMX pack. The new Mother Hips songs were better than I was expecting from a bonus band!

Win, but only because of Zero and Message in a Bottle.

First half of the month epic fail, second half win. So it averages out to a fail.

Week 1 - I got it cause it was free and it's had a surprising positive effect on me. Not a load of fun but it's free so I won't complain. - Win.
Week 2 - PS3 user so I didn't have these 3. Picked 'em all up. I knew the Bang Camaro song rocks (I own the CD.) Shake was a surprisingly awesome pickup for me. One of those songs I had no idea was as cool as it actually was going into it. I hate Freezepop so blech. Still giving it - Win.
Week 3 - Simple Man and Message in a Bottle were my two pick ups. Simple Man is fun because I love the song, but none of it is very fun to play. Message in a Bottle is decent too. The Blondie song sounded like crap to me. - Win
Week 4 - Didn't download any JP. Will probably pick and choose songs in the future, but as for right now I'll have to go with - Fail
Week 5 - Like the Mother Hips song in the game, so I'll have to check their songs out (still not Thurs. yet!). The Pumpkins song isn't one of my favorites, but it's not bad. Prohibitive Win, could be fail if the Mother Hips songs are bad.
Even if week 5 ends up being a fail, that's still 3-2 in favor of the Win. So I give it a win. No Epic win because there was only one song that I was truly amped for prior to the release (Rock Rebellion). And only two songs (Shake and Rock Rebellion) that have met or exceeded my expectations of awesomitude.
Edit: Realized I left out the Motley Crue single. Much like JP, something I may pick up at some point but really not sure.

Well, I got all of it except for the JP album, which I grabbed two tracks from. However, I get almost all of the DLC. Most of it was mediocre, falling just barely on the side of a purchase.

I guess its simply Win. Still Alive was sort of a fun song to do, especially on vocals but I wouldn't have picked it up if it wasn't free I don't think.
HMX pack was basically a week of nothing for me since its songs I already had. Call Me was great for me (especially since I love 80s songs and thats one of Blondie's better songs). Message was a song I've already played but its good since its a new chart at least. Several Priest songs will probably get regular plays on guitar and drums by me. Zero is great but that week ended my streak of getting all DLC. I've no interest in the other band that week. Didn't like the song in the bonus setlist and don't like the songs after seeing them on Youtube... It was a decent month but it could have been a lot better.
