eb games changed the stand alone game release date back to the 20th

for the ps3 version. gamestop changed it as well cause there the same company, but the ps3 bundle is still the 6th, they're going crazy now lol so the bundle is the only thing thats the 6th now lol, but tomm it could say the game comes out tomm so we'll see lol

What could possibly be the reason to not give us any info on release date or price?? Only thing I can come up with is maybe they aren't sure they can make it and the game will be delayed and not come out till later on. Nothing else makes sense

I mean, c'mon, you're not gonna shock and awe me with a release date or price, for new songs yes, but dates and prices, no. So that rules out a big time news drop, delays are the only thing left....

It's only a delay if it comes out November or later. That's why they haven't announced (or probably even set) a release date: they want to be sure they can make it so there AREN'T delays.

Imagine they set the date for Nov. 6th. Then a week later, one of their suppliers says "Oh snap! OUR supplier messed something up and set us behind schedule by two weeks!". HMX has two options:
Piss people off by announcing a delay.
Piss people off by not having enough copies of the game at release.

The exact hardware configurations probably aren't final.... i don't know. Does it really matter? Sure as hell doesn't indicate a delay. The game is in its final stages.

Reading between the lines on some other posts from Harmonix employees, I don't think Harmonix knows what the release date is yet.

The software is all but done, and that is the part under their control.

They've got a complicated issue with manufacturers and retailers to make sure that the right quantity of instruments are manufactured, and making sure there is enough space on retailer's shelves to get everything out to the customer.

Harmonix is not directly responsible for peripheral manufacturing, distribution, or retailing, so I think they are waiting to hear from other parties before they can finalize the release date.

Now keep in mind that November 20th is the latest possible date. No matter what catastrophe befalls hardware production, EA is not going to miss Black Friday, even if there are shortages.

So the fact that the date hasn't been finalized yet, and that these 11/6 dates are popping up in different places, tells me that EA is trying to get everything to retail before 11/20, closer to GH3.

All this stuff is hard, and never works the way you plan it, so I am still betting that 11/20 ends up being the street date, but there is a possibility we could see it sooner.

But besides, if EA is publishing the game, I think its much more likely that EA is in the driver's seat when it comes to releasing the game. To keep a conspiracy going, HMX could truly know nothing, but its someone from EA that is leaking the info to the stores.
