Anyone have a recommendation for a good video editor?

Essentially, I'd just like to do a split screen like many people do of the game on one side and me playing on the other.

I know I can get a game bridge for the song (as to which version specifically of this I'm also not sure).

As I've never really used either, any links as to what steps you would need to do the editing would be appreciated if anyone can supply that as well. Granted, it might be pretty basic to do this and the info might be somewhere else, but I'm looking here first as it seems as this would be a pretty good resource :D.

Thanks in advance.

i've messed with adobe after effects a lil bit, that seemed to be quite nice where you could posibly do the things you wanna do. The problem with that is, is that it's only a trial version. I'm pretty sure that's what some people that do split screen use.

I use Sony Vegas 7. It's not a crazy powerful application, but its good and the interface is fairly user friendly. I also have Adobe Premier, but it's not as user friendly, but has blue/green screen functions which come in handy.

Adobe Premiere Elements is cheap and easy to use.

Here is a little training primer on Premiere Elements. Should prove helpful if deciding to get it.

I use Adobe After Effects to do my split-screen editing. You can get a 30-day trial at Adobe.com.
