Official Halo 3 Pre-Release Thread (No Spoilers Please)

Ok so this is the first is a series of two threads (the second one being Halo 3 impressions on Tuesday!)

So here we'll talk about how excited we are for Halo 3, our pre-order status, and what we are looking forward to the most.

If you are not planning on playing Halo 3, please keep your comments to yourself and dont post any spoilers please. Some people have been waiting for this game for nearly 3 years so give us a break.


So anyways Im totally freaking pumped. It just started to sink in yesterday for me. Seeing the Believe commercials on TV and seeing the reviews coming on Sunday has me super excited.

After I beat the single player game I cant freaking wait to toy with Forge and all the sweet new weapons and vehicles in MP.:D

I paid mine off the other day... they're having a Halo 2 tournament outside of gamestop as well around 9 on Monday because it's midnite release.... can't wait

Mine is paid off. And watching those Believe ads, I laughed. Just because they were so unbelieveably cheesy. I don't think I'm gonna be able to skip school on Tuesday though..

I'm gonna hit up single player first, then on to the multiplayer, and then the achievements.

I'm most pumped for Forge. It looks so amazing, I will never tire of dropping tanks on people. Or having a flying shooting tank.

Been playing alot of Halo 2 to get ready for Halo 3, even though I bet the feel will be different, like it was from the transition from halo 1 to 2.

I just got a call from Gamestop telling me that I could go pick it up at 12 am on the 25th, but I should get there at 9pm. No way I'm doing that, Ill just wait until the day of the 25th and pick it up. Good thing I have a test on the 26th and the 27th, so I wont be playing Halo until the 27th at the earliest. I hope its worth the wait.

Yeah, same here. I work a desk job, though, so no way I'm doing that. I plan to go to sleep early Monday, and get in an early day at work Tuesday so I can get my copy ASAP.

And probably single player, co-op, multiplayer for me. Gotta get mah cool new armor :cool:

I was talking to one of my buddies that works at a GameCrazy by my house, and he said he had a whopping 250 copies of the game 50 of which were legendary edition...so I can't imagine how much a bigger game store must have.

I live in Marysville, Wa...and no one has ever heard of that place now have they...so a big city game store has to have some 1000+ copies...

It's pretty spoiler free but they do talk about some new weapons... nothing about the plot or anything... it's pretty clean

It doesn't matter if anyone actually gives this game a bad rating (which I agree no one will have the balls to do) almost every 360 owner will purchase this game at some point in time. Even if someone does give it a bad rating out of pure hatred for Bungie, or FPS, or Microsoft no one will pay attention to it anyway.

On a side note the advertising is getting a little out of hand, I didn't appreciate Halo being shoved down my throat when I turned on the CBS pre-game show today for football. Then the first words out of James Brown's mouth when the show opened up was him plugging the game and release date. I hope he's happy with whatever money they paid him or CBS to show that.


I apologize for venting. I'll follow along with this thread. Even though I have a PS3, I'm curious to see people's reactions to this game.

There are some amazing new features to an already great game franchise awaiting us come Tuesday

i don't watch all that much TV and i missed the pre-game show so this doesn't bother me. what does bother me, is that on the 360 halo is plastered all over the place. i came to expect that, but still ffs i hate this ****ty ass game i don't want to see it every time i log on to xbox live

ahh my cousin told me $160, oh well. idk maybe i'm a penny pincher but i won't even spend an extra $10 for a special edition. i don't really find the extra dvds that come with the game to be all that entertaining, and a steel box isn't enough to make me pay teh extra 10

that's cool. I just upgraded from limited to legendary because of all the problems limited is having with the discs being scratched and loose. I'd rather have one that came without that problem.

I'm selling the rest of the stuff online, and already have a bunch of offers for the helmets and extras XD. looks good from here.
