Pertinent information from it:

Red Octane has confirmed to us that the Xbox 360 version of Guitar Hero III will be $99 and include a wireless guitar.

Red Octane went on to say, "All platforms will be bundling wireless guitars and the prices for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions are set at $99.99 while the Wii and PS2 versions are $89.99."

Interesting point: Given that the bundle is $10 more than GHII's was, is this a good savings; or is the extra $10 for the wireless guitar being passed onto PS3 customers as well to be "fair" to the 360 owners or because they can?

Addendum: Seeing how the Wii and PS2 are still the same old price, I'm thinking the extra $10 *may* be more related to the extra $10 people pay for 360 and PS3 games compared to the other consoles. ($60 for new vs. $50)

You would think that the Wii and PS2 versions would actually be even cheaper, as their games are on $50, not $60, also the Wii's controller is fairly close to being a shell that clips onto the Wii Remote, I would think that would cut costs as well.

I was considering that the PS2 version is at the same price as the PS2 version of GHII was. Activision is certainly not going to give a price cut on an established and money-making franchise.

Then throwing in that the 360 guitar & game bundle GHII was $90, and that now suggests the $10 price increase for 360 and PS3 is for the wireless guitar and not the cost of the game disc itself.

Is that worth it for people interested in continuing with the GH franchise? Probably, since a price drop will most likely be at least a year or even more; referencing how long the price for GHII (has) stayed at release day price.

GH2 for the 360 with a wired guitar was $99, so GH3 with a wireless guitar for $99 is a good deal imo. i'm hoping RB with a wireless guitar is $99 as well.

GH2 was 90$ on the 360 at release. That makes it a $10 price hike imposed for the "convenience" of wireless.

Which isn't a bad thing. I would pay 10 bucks more if it was wireless.
